Note: I actually cooked mine on the outside grill using a reversible cast iron griddle (like this one) following basically the same directions as above.

This was the BEST asparagus!

So flavorful and easy to throw together. Everyone loved it at our last outdoor BBQ party. If you make it, you’ll probably be giving out the recipe a lot–and especially to people who’ll tell you they don’t even like asparagus!

We make this in the oven and the kids love it! We use a drizzle of olive oil, sprinkling of Tony’s seasoning and Parmesan. I’ve never had anyone dislike this- even asparagus haters 😊

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

      Awesome! Thanks for sharing Jennifer!

My three girls beg me to get asparagus anytime we are grocery shopping because my husband makes a similar recipe to this one and then grills them. It’s so good!!

    • Lina (Hip's Modern Martha)

Awesome! Yes my kids will eat this too!

I LOVE grilled veggies! I tried grilled asparagus for the first time last summer, and I won’t go back to canned! I’ll have to try your recipe the next time I do them. What I do with mine is toss them with
Salt, Pepper, 2-3 cloves minced garlic and 2 tbsp each EVOO and Balsalmic Vinegar. Let it marinate for about an hr, then grill (reserving marinade) to desired tenderness. After they come off the grill, toss it back in the marinade. Very very flavorful. I always have to buy 2 bunches b/c they go fast!

I use this for my veggies, it keeps everything from falling through the grill grates. Got it from Bed Bath & Beyond, $14.99 – 20% q –

I’ve been making this for a few years, with the addition of wrapping the asparagus in bacon, & it’s the only way the kids & I will eat asparagus. Great cooked on the grill in a foil packet too.

  9. Nina

Love asparagus! This looks totally yum! Will have to try it 😊
