Note that you will have to wait until your $10 of purchases are shipped from the Amazon.com facility to be eligible to claim your box. Once you are eligible for the Welcome Box, you will see an area to “Check Status” at the top of your Amazon Baby Registry – if the box is in-stock, just click the “Claim Now” button to automatically add the Welcome Box to your cart. You will also receive an email to the address associated with your Amazon.com account in 1-2 days.

What will you find in the Welcome Box?

Although contents of each box can vary, you may receive items like an Avent Baby Bottle, Swaddle Designs Swaddle Blanket, Pampers Wipes Case, Seventh Generation Diapers sample, RXBAR Whole Food Protein Bar and lots more!

Here’s what Hip2Save readers have to say about the Amazon Baby Box:

I got the free box a few months ago and it was absolutely worth the time and effort. I received several samples and full size products. An adorable swaddle blanket, toys, bottle, and binky. I added wipes and ordered those and got my free box. It was perfect for when my little one was born.

I agree! I was skeptical to get mine but was quite shocked. I to received a bottle, swaddle blanket, diapers, full size huggies wipes, pacifier, breast pads and a few smaller trial things. I had read the reviews and was defiantly doubting my time but I was okay! Now with that being said, these boxes seem to be forever changing!

Yeah I’m going to say the box is lackluster (although free) and i had problems with it getting lost in the mail 3 times. You also do a bit of work for it.I will say if you’re signing up for free prime in order to do it anyway you can get the diaper deals on Amazon and stock up.

Darn! Sorry to hear about that Candace! Thanks for sharing your experience.

After 2 rounds of this box being out of stock (and the annoyingly long process of creating the registry, which consisted of things I had to register for just to complete the checklist), I was pleased with this box when it arrived! 1 full size Huggies wipes, 1 full size Avent bottle, 1 muslin swaddle (what a surprise!!), 2 samples baby wash/lotion, nursing pad sample, and three 3 diaper samples of various brands. I’d say it’s a great box, if you are planning to actually use Amazon as a gift registry. Otherwise the time completing the registry and checking the availability of the welcome box may not be worth it to some.

Thanks so much for the feedback Emma! Sounds like you scored some great items! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I did this as well and my box was full of items. I did not add everything on the checklist. If you want to skip a section there is a little box you can check and it will show that part complete. I also received the swaddle blanket, Dr. Browns bottle, full package of buggies wipes, pampers wipes and diaper sample and 4-5 sample sizes of shampoo, baby lotion and a lotion for the mommy. For a free gift it was worth it!

Super glad to hear how pleased you were with your box Helen! Thanks for sharing!

My box was awful. I hate to be that person. And I’m am Amazon regular that actually registered because I was having a baby.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Thanks for the honest review. ๐Ÿ™

Mine was pretty good if it was free but beware in order to get free you have to click the box that says use promotional credit. I unfortunately didn’t see and dumbly entered my CC info. So now I’ve paid $35 for a swaddle blanket, toy & samples. Customer service hasn’t gotten back to me either. After 2 attempts of promised returned emails I gave up. ๐Ÿ˜•

Same thing happened to me, I used chat to talk to them instead of email and they transferred me to the registry department and they refunded me immediately. Try that if it isn’t resolved by email.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer! So sorry to hear that Abbey! Thanks for the warning! Hoping they get back to you soon!

I received mine today and it was amazing! Five diapers (three newborn size, two size one) a travel pack for diapers and wipes from pampers with a travel pack of wipes inside, a full pack of buggies wipes, Avent bottle, several breast pad samples, a nice muslin swaddle blanket, trial size baby Dove soap, sample of sunblock, and trial size of baby Aveeno lotion. I’m very pleased!
