It’s amazing!
This is a great vacuum, way better than the $300 Dyson model. I had bought the Dyson, but was so disappointed in it that I took it back. I am satisfied with this Shark. It is lightweight, but great suction for both large and fine particles. It has a longer cord than most models currently being sold, is easy to use, and has lots of attachments. This is a great price for it-less than what I paid which was the lowest price I’ve seen until now.
Love it! Highly recommended.
I had this vacuum for five years and loved it. Just recently upgraded to a smaller dyson that was on sell but I think I liked my shark better.

How is this vacuum on hardwood floors?
I have had this for three years and two houses now. I love it! My new house has all hard floors and this vacuum comes with a hard floor attachment that works great for hardwood. I don’t use the regular vacuum setting because I’m worried it will scratch but it is very versatile. It is great for stairs because you can take the canister off of the vacuum and it’s much lighter to carry.

This is the best vacuum ever!
This is the model I bought last month! Beats the pants off Dyson. My Dyson tubing split and customer service had my husband on hold for over an hour and when he finally got through to someone they were extremely rude and not helpful in the least. Did even ask him if he wanted to pay to replace one and said, “that will be $55 what type of credit card would you like to pay with?” I was floored. I will never buy a Dyson again. All of that and not to mention the tubing shouldn’t be splitting to begin with!
can you push a button for the cord to retract?
I was thinking of buying the dyson that is for pets. The one for $549. I’m tired of filters. I have 4 kids one on the way 2 cats 2 black labs. I need something that will get the job done and is super easy to use. Any reviews on the newer top of the line dyson? It has really good reviews. But before I spend that kind of money I’d like all the feedback I can get. Thanks for any help.

I bought this one last year from Sam’s Club for $100 based on reviews from this site. LOVE it. Doesn’t stink up the house like my Hoover (which I paid 3x more for), and does a really good job sucking. Lol.

The Shark I bought was a Navigator I believe. It was giving me electrical shocks the whole Time I tried to vacuum. I had to send it back, disappointed. I thought I was losing my mind with the shocks. So I looked it up and saw others with the same experience. That was the first vacuum I had bought in years. Too bad though.
Why $20 back for 199? If it is $10 for every $50 then it should be at least $30..
I love the Shark vacuums and currently have 2 different models but my only issue with them is the short hose, bulky handle and attachments. Not very ergonomic when you have carpal tunnel and arthritis! The attachments don’t reach the ceiling and because of the short hose the vacuum falls over when trying to clean the couches. I used to own one of the original Shark Vacs and back then it came with a bag with an extra hose, poles and various other attachments, not anymore 🙁
Kathy I also have arthritis and love this vacuum..it has great sucking power. However I’m also bummed with the short hose. It really aggravates my condition trying to wrangle the damn hose…I wish they would make it longer or sell an more extension tools to make it longer. With that said my daughter does much of the vacuuming so it’s not too much of an issue here. I highly recommend this vacuum in all other categories but length of hose!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VACUUM!!! I cleaned houses for years and worked in hotels so I’ve used MANY different types of vacuums. Everything from high end german models to toy like ones from the dollar stores! This shark has been my absolute favorite cleaning tool I’ve ever touched. It’s so easy to use, it comes apart everywhere! I challenge you to get something stuck in this vacuum that you can’t get to. The only issue I have run into is finding the correct Hepa filter for it. It seems like I can only find it online. Even places like walmart and kohls that sell the vacuums, don’t carry them. besides that I have been overly pleased for the past almost 2 years.
BTW we have 8 cats!! This thing will fill up a canister from a floor you think is clean.

I hae always been a shop vac in the house kinda person….anyone who knew about it made fun of me lol….swore that it sucked better than any vaccum made for home use……bought this one and it just came in today. My house was already vaccumed and sparkling….then took this out of the box and vaccumed…..was only supposed to try one room….i couldnt believe how much dust was in my rugs….so kept in vacuuming…..by the timei was done…..had nothing but about 4 pounds of dust. I was disgusted….but ao happy to get this vac!
