What’s in Lina’s Purse?

Hi all! It’s Lina, one of Collin’s sidekicks!

I usually share recipes and DIY ideas here on Hip2Save, but today I’m changing it up and sharing some of the small treasures in my purse that I enjoy. In case you haven’t read them, several members of our team have shared “What’s in My Purse?” Posts.

Just to be real, I cleaned out a dozen receipts and random papers before I took these photos, so know that my purse is usually on the messy side! 😊

Purse & Wallet

This is the least expensive purse I own, is a no name brand, and I get so many compliments on it! I scored it about 6 months ago at my favorite store, TJMaxx, and it’s super comfy and easy to wipe down to keep clean. My fun wallet is also from TJMaxx and is a brand called Lily Bloom. The cute Pom Initial Key Chain on my purse is from Charming Charlie’s.

I’m on my iPhone 6s Plus all day and am able to keep a full battery with my mophie juice pack phone case. It was a Christmas present from my hubby this year, and I use it every day!

I’m a fan of Rx Bars and keep them in my purse to enjoy at baseball practice because they’re filling and yummy. The chocolate sea salt is my favorite flavor. My kids are loving these organic Stretch Island Fruit Strips that I recently started buying at Costco.

Sun Glasses & Sunscreen

We live in the desert so these are a must!  My kids whine the least about applying sunscreen using the stick versions in general, such as this Coppertone Sport stick sunscreen. I like that this one is waterproof and tear free. Also, I’m loving these aviator Juicy Couture sunglasses I bought with Kohl’s cash recently!

My kids LOVE card games and they are a great way to pass time at restaurants or Dr. appointments! I usually keep a set of playing cards, Uno, LCR, or Spot it! in my purse.

To be honest I’m more of an US Magazine reader, but currently enjoying the book What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty. I bought it after binge watching the series Big Little Lies on HBO based on the book Big Little Lies by the same author. It would be a great book to read by the pool or beach this summer! These books happen to be popular among other members of the Hip2Save team as well!

I don’t wear make-up everyday since I work from home, but feel best with a little mascara if I leave the house. My favorite mascara is Mac False Lashes. It really increases volume without being too clumpy. Also I’m never without a Mac Studio Fix powder compact!

Keep the Bugs Away

My daughter is allergic to mosquito bites and gets terrible welts, so I keep a Plant Therapy Kid Safe Shield Me roll on essential oil blend on hand to keep the bugs away in case we are at the ball field, park, or somewhere outdoors with bugs!

Personal Care

I like the convenient packs of Wet Ones disinfectant wipes to keep those germs away!  I also can’t live without EOS lip balm, and I’m currently enjoying the EOS hand cream.

Do you like any of these items also? What items do you always have in your purse? Let us know in the comments!

Have you ever had moments when you're either out of time or out of printer ink, or both, and you really want to keep track of a "Hip" deal or print a valuable coupon in the next day or two? Or what do you do when an outstanding, but pricey, deal is posted and you want to save it for discussion with your significant other? Well, now you're in luck! No more searching through pages of posts to find the coupon or the deal. Simply move the post to your Hip List and access it at your convenience.

How Does the Hip List Work?

It's easy! To use this feature, first head on over here and register and log into your account. Whenever you find a great deal that you want to come back to later at a later time, just click on the HIP List icon located on each post (see images below) and the information will be saved in your account. To remove a post from your HIP List, just click on the HIP List icon and it will be removed.

When logged into your account, you will see the HIP List icon at the bottom of every post if you are viewing in classic view.

If you prefer to view in river view, you will see the HIP List icon located on every post above the post title and to the right.

If you're wanting to print a certain deal, blog post, or the Weekly Store Matchups from your HIP list, click on the small blue printer icon in the upper right corner of the HIP list. This will allow you to customize the information that you want or don't want to include when printing from your HIP list so you're only printing the information that's most important to you! If there are deals (or portions of deals) that you are not interested in printing, just click on the red x button to remove them. To restore a section, click on the green arrow icon in the upper right hand corner.
