Math is incorrect. CVS does NOT give you the sale price on the 3rd item, they will ring up as
    $3.29 / $2.71 / $3.29 (NOT $3 each) = $9.29
    less $1/2 = $8.29
    Get $3 ECB = $5.29

    OR buy 4/$12 – $2 using 2 $1/2, pay $10, get $3 = $7 for 4 or $1.25 per box.

    • Mel

oops, that should be $1.75 if you buy 4 boxes!

I got the gas eGC and none of my gas stations in Tucson would take it. Has anyone successfully used theirs, and if so where?

    • Mel

I tried to use it at the gas station and the guy was like we can’t manually enter, swipe only. Read on another board it can be used at online merchants, so used it to get a Target eGC instead!

To Mel and Suzanne, I just used mine to buy an amazon $5 gift card. Way easier than dealing with a cashier. It worked fine on amazon

Mel, Thank you for posting this, I had trouble redeeming mine as well but thanks to your comment was just able to use it on Amazon with no problems.

      • Lore

I just used mine at QuikTrip in Oklahoma. Thre guys had never seen one, but keyed it in and worked like a charm. Super deal.

You can pay your bill online if they take credit card as well as payment amount can be specified.

I bought a target Mobile gift card and had it texted to myself.m. Using any other way looked complicated and sure to get some confused looks.

Hi Mel, can you explain more?

  4. Mel

I bought 2/$6, used $1/2 MQ and $1.50 CRT from last week magic Q machine. Paid $3.50 oop, received $3 eb, so 0.25 each after extrabucks.

  5. CW

Had to use my $5 gas cards on Amazon as others have said. No local gas stations take it without a bar code to scan

Same here…( Got my Ziploc gas cash via Walgreens from previous post). Went to 5 different stations a d they all have me dumb looks saying we can only swipe. I felt that these companies (large and small) really made their workers not think…very disappointing. Anyway, I was about to try Walmart but will do the Amazon thing.
As with all Hip2Save deals, need to keep the money saved-earned rotating and keeping track, not out of sight!

Can anyone help me with applying the gas code to redeem for another retailer gift card?

  8. E

I used the $5 gas card to pay my verzion fios bill as soon as I got the card from the email. Simply specify the payment amount as $5 and card type as master and fill in all the info. Done!

  9. Jo

I have a gas card also from the Ziploc deal and no gas stations will take it. How are you using it on line?

    • E

I always use the small denomination visa or master card to pay my Verizon wireless or Verizon FIOS to burn them to zero. You can set the payment amount as low as $1, then change to $1.01, then $1.02 as long as the amount is different each time for the payment. You can do multiple payment in the same day. I remember that AT&T allows you do it as well. As for the gas card, The billing address is the one when you register initially. It is a master card. You can see the expiration date, security code, card number, zip code as well as your name on the pdf file.

For what it’s worth, the PDF Gas Cash Card from Ziploc says “Visit any gas station in the US that accepts MasterCard or use for an online purchase.”

Since it says I can use it for an online purchase, I used it to buy a $5.00 CVS eGift Card. It worked perfectly.

    So its 3 boxes for $9.29 – $1.00 for 2 coupon – $3.00 ECB – $5.00 CVS eGift Card = $0.29 for all 3

I used the $5 card and bought a Target egift card, I tried to use it at Amazon, but it wouldn’t work for me.
