No, the beach towels are way better!! I only use these when I bathe my dog. They are awful!

I just purchased these towels a week ago. Mistake! They shed terribly! I’ve washed and dried them 5 times in hopes of relieving the problem, but to no avail. I pull them out of the dryer and when I shake them out, cotton and lint go flying. Dreadful towels!

I wouldn’t buy these towels again. As others have stated, they shed horribly in the beginning. However, those of you who have recently purchased them, the shedding eventually gets better. Keep washing and drying them separately for a while but it gets better.

True about the shedding part. I’ve bought several sets in the past, I still find them to be decent towels. Lightweight and quick to dry in the drier. And good as a gym towel (my gym doesn’t have towel service. So no need to freak out if I lose it or leave it behind).
