What’s this all about?

A proposed settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit about the advertising of some of Johnson & Johnson’s Aveeno Active Naturals Products. The Plaintiffs in the lawsuit claim that Johnson & Johnson made misstatements about its Aveeno Active Naturals Products by describing certain Aveeno Active Naturals Products as “natural” or “Active Naturals.”

I am skeptic of all Johnson & Johnson products. I remember when they came out saying they used talc which is a cancer causing ingredient.

  2. Sarah

This is what I use for body wash. Might as well make a claim. Can’t hurt. Lol!

  3. Nikki

It’s 2007 to 2017…you have 2017 for both years. That’s a lot of years! Makes me wonder who keeps receipts that long! lol

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the heads up Nikki! I am seeing that as well. Just updated!

  4. ERichie

OMG! I only buy and use Aveeno Active Naturals products….

  5. Megan Grandemange

    May 2007, not 2017.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks! This has been updated!

Oh man. We literally use their lotion exclusively for our whole family and go through tons and tons of it and have for years. How in the world do I even begin to know how many I should claim?! Is there a limit, because I’m sure we’re above it honestly. I’m just not sure what to even do about this.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi there! Here is what the details list: “A Settlement Class Member is eligible to obtain $2.50 for each purchase of a Covered Product for up to 20 Covered Products purchased during the Class Period (up to $50 per person) without proof of purchase, and unlimited Products purchased during the Class Period with proof of purchase.” Hope that helps!

  7. Megan Grandemange

Oh I see, $50 limit. There’s no question we’ve bought more than 20 of these products.

    • Susi

      It’s $50 limit without receipts. I didn’t see a limit with them

    • Sarah

Me too! This is the only body was and lotion I use. For 10 years I used more than 20

  8. LindaK

I only use Aveeno and purchased 7 or 8 items just in the last couple of weeks.

    • Vanessa

Me too. That sure is a long claim form. I’m not even sure if it’s worth submitting all that info. I use their face wash, scrub wipes and lotion

  9. Amp

So it states the refund will depend on number of claimants. I’m assuming this is like all the other things I’ve filled out where I may get 75 cents back if I’m lucky lol

  10. JC

I just bought a body wash from Amazon and they shipped yesterday…

  11. Yar

So far nothing no harm from product to humans, but pure false advertisement.

  12. Serene

    2017 or 2007?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry for any confusion. The purchase period is “from May 7th, 2007 to June 13th, 2017”.

  13. Marie

I keep getting this message: There was a problem submitting the form – please go back, fill in the form and submit it again. I can’t figure out what i’m doing wrong. I guess I’ll have to mail it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Maybe try again in a different browser. Hope that helps!

    • jenny

      use google chromes instread firefox

    • dhigc

Marie.. Try to fill your form in capital letters… I happened with me then I changed all of my information in capitals and it worked. Hope that helps.

    • nikki hockaday

I can’t get it to work on Chrome. After filling out all 20….

  14. Tara

When I had my daughter in 2014 I would only use their stuff on her ughhh

  15. Jen

I’ve purchased their lotion several times over several years……and I also remember using their conditioner and leave in and shampoo for about maybe a year or two straight right after high school…….and also remember purchasing at least once:, their women’s shaving cream, at least two types of their body washes, and their hydrocortizone cream….. all within the last 10 years……shame every-time I try submitting the form they say there’s a problem.

  16. Gretchen

OMG! I just purchased several of these today!

  17. riss

Dang! That’s all we use. For years. We buy the lotion at Costco coz it’s bigger and cheaper. And the facial moisturizer. I just got back from Target and purchased the body wash and body scrub! I wish I kept the receipts even from last year…

    • cindy

Riss- costco could look up yoir purchases.

  18. hlmh

Does anyone know if this is per household or per person?

  21. Yasuko J

I’m at a loss of how to upload pictures of receipts online. Will I have to click each product name, city, state and “add this product to my claim” and the upload page will appear? Can someone please help me???

  22. victoriawhit

Looks like they updated their online submission form so I was finally able to attach all my receipts and submit the claim online. Thank you!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)
