The Pinecone surveys are a great way to try new products and express your opinion for at least $3 per survey. It’s always nice to have a few extra dollars.

Pinecone Research is by far my favorite survey company out of a few that I am a member of.

Pinecone is a great survey site. One of the many beefs that I have with other survey sites is their long drawn out and boring surveys. Nobody wants to waste time just to find out that you didn’t qualify for it!

I LOVE Pinecone. I joined in Feb 2017 and have made $73 to date.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How cool! Thanks for sharing Juli!

  2. Kayla

Pinecone is my favorite survey site! I joined in May, and I’ve made $24 so far. Planning to let it keep building up, then cash out in November or December for a little extra Christmas shopping cash. 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Awesome to hear that! Thanks for the great feedback!

  3. Shannon

Pinecone ROCKS! I have almost $60, and I just joined this year as well. I have also been sent a couple petty cool things to try and give opinions on. You cannot go wrong with this one. You get paid $3 for every survey.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear how much you have enjoyed it! Thanks for the great review Shannon!

  4. ShoppyMcSaver

I love Pinecone. They’re survey process is so easy. I usually average $100 a year from surveys that I cash out around Christmas into my PayPal. Fast and easy.

  5. gracias

With pinecone for good 9 yrs.. Uncountable gift cards.. Worth every opinion.

  6. Kim

Has everyone else been getting the emails from Pinecone where you have to fill out a pre survey to see if you qualify for the actual survey? Or did I get on that by mistake? I hate it! I always loved Pinecone but since they started the qualifying survey I haven’t made a cent and I’ve filled out quite a few of those qualifying surveys so you’d think I’d make one or two of the actual surveys. What’s going on with Pinecone? I want to go back to the regular survey method if possible.

    • Pia

      I agree!

    • ohiogirl

I have qualified, but have had countless issues. Survey stops half way through, loading each page takes forever, I will complete a survey after qualifying and the final screen acknowledging you have completed it never pops up, etc. I think I have to contact them on at least every other survey for one issue or another. Hoping they are just bugs they are still working out. Anyone else experiencing these issues since the new change?

      • Lila

I quit because of the technical issues with their site. I was told that I can just start over/try again, which brought total time spent on surveys way more than was worth it for me. Also, I found the surveys boring and products not exciting to learn about. Pretty much you give your opinion as a consumer to help corporations marker junk. And since I wouldn’t buy most of what they offer to evaluate I felt like I was waisting my time. Yes, I did cash out with around $70, but if you add it all up it’s like having a low paying boring job.

      • Teri Lamphear

I had the same issue. Survey would stop. I would report every time I had an issue and would get an automated e-mail back. Then I got booted for not completing enough surveys.

    • ros

Same here I thought it was just me. Those pre surveys really ruined things. Also, sometimes a screen pops up at the end saying that it may be that I did more than one survey that day….. nope, I can’t even get to one…

      • rebecca

i hate that screen at the end, when i KNOW i have not yet completed one on that same day!
i’m glad to see these comments, b/c i thought i was the only one having these issues, and these tech issues are new — i didn’t have problems with the site until maybe a month ago.
also, have had issues multiple times lately where i find i am stuck in a loop answering the same several questions in a row and cannot get past that point of the survey. 🙁

    • Jessica

I actually don’t mind the new method, I think I’ve gotten more surveys this way and only have had one technical issue.

    • Cathy

You can’t “go back” but I agree, I would like to go back to the old wsy. I haven’t made a cent in so long. And they used to be my favorite. too. I have a Chromebook and they STILL haven’t gotten these surveys compatible with it. They keep saying they are ” working on it”. Since April! This is the new way Pinecone is going to be doing surveys. At least that’s what they have told us. Why did they have to fix what wasn’t broken? O and I have been with for many years.

  7. Cat

Yes, i have been experiencing issues with the new survey system , i wish they would go back to the old way. I have been with them for about a year and love taking their surveys – they really need to fix all the glitches.

    • Casey

Me, too. I don’t understand how they “listened to feedback” to come up with this new system. It is much more difficult and less user friendly.

      • Cindy

I agree, I never minded doing all the “household questions” surveys.

  8. Misty

I never seem to qualify, but I will try.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Darn! Hopefully soon! 😉

  9. Rachael

I really don’t like the changes that Pinecone has made lately. I have trouble downloading pages and sometimes the final window will not come up. Also due to a sickness in the family, I have been unable to check my mail daily. If there are two surveys in my mail, I can only complete one of them. The second survey will have a window pop up that tells me I have already completed one survey today. I wish they would go back to their old way of doing surveys.

    • Lila

      Glad I quit.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So sorry to hear you do not care for it any longer Rachael 🙁 Thanks for sharing!

  10. Prof Maza

they are good but their new system sucks.

  11. Karen

    I never qualify for this.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hopefully soon! Good luck!

  12. nelly

Glad to see the honest reviews closer to the bottom, the ones at the top were a bit too “favorable” for my taste.

    • Brittany

Lol, some of us really like it. I actually prefer the new system as I have been able to qualify and do more surveys since it was implemented. I like having the “household questions” combined in one step where now instead of completing that survey and hoping you get a paying one in the next few days you automatically get a survey right then and there. Yes, there have been some glitches, which can be frustrating, but i don’t know that it’s been any significant amount more than what I experienced prior.

  13. Cindy

I don’t like the changes they have made, either. My biggest issues are answering the pre survey questions, only to have to reanswer them in the actual survey, as well as only being allowed to complete one survey a day. A couple times I have had surveys crash on me mid through, & it appears that with the new system, it won’t save your place, so you have to reanswer the questions. With the slow loading time plus pre survey questions, it takes a lot more time to do a survey than before.

I have found, though, that if you save the emails, you can go back & do the surveys on the days that you don’t get any “new” surveys from them. Once, I even clicked a link to a survey that I had already completed, & it took me to a completely different survey.

  14. jenl

I have never once qualified for a survey, I give up on it.

  15. April

I just joined two months ago and have already made $45. I’ve never had any techincical issues even with the new changes and do them all on my iPhone. It’s been great!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Happy to hear how much you have been able to earn already April! Congrats! 😉

  16. ohiogirl

Thank you all for letting me know I am not alone with all the technical difficulties. I did like the old way better, but I definitely have gotten more surveys this way. I will be staying on board. For those considering it, I do feel it is worth it. You spend about 20 minutes +/- and get $3. I would say I average about $60-$100 a year.

  17. Justine

I answered the first 3 questions to see if I qualify – apparently they are not looking for 29 year old females… 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Darn!

  18. Pat

I love Pinecone too however you have to pay attention to if you stop receiving surveys. My girlfriend did great for a few years and then they dropped her without telling her. By the time she realized it they had closed her account and she couldn’t cash in her money after the account was closed. It may never happen to you, just wanted to share what happened to her.
