The decorative pencils from Walmart for $.25 are really good quality.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Good to know! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Erica

Thanks! I was waiting for this deal. My girls go back on August 3rd. Time to go shopping!!

    • Cathy

Wow!!! I thought August 21st was too early. I remember not going back till after Labor Day.

      • Sherry

My kids go back July 31st

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome!

  3. Kristen

Any reviews on the crayzart markers vs. crayola?

    • nk

crazy markers dry out soon.rest i find same.quality of botj

    • Sarah

The crazy art tops don’t go on easily too.

    • Gina

I find the crazyart ones super washable so they are perfect for my toddler since they wash off easily. But overall quality is not as good compared to Crayola but I’ll switch to those when she’s a bit older. I’m a teacher and swear by Crayola markers as a general rule.

    • Kristen

      Thanks everyone 🙂

will shop in august.when its tax free days

My glue sticks rang up s 50 cents each, not 4/$1. Customer service wouldn’t fix it, so I just returned them. Just be sure to look at your receipt.

    • Nicole

There can are two different products/displays. The goes on purple (pictured) also says school glue and washable on it in fine print is 25 cents. The package with the traditional chalkboard logo was 50 cents each.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Thanks for the heads up!

    • Sarah

The glue stick 2 packs 50 cents at out store. The label says 25 cents each unit, etc.

  6. Kathy

Is there anyway to get Sunday paper coupons now?

  7. Terry

I can’t find the glue stick for 4/$1. It’s 2/$1. is this only regional

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Darn! Maybe it can vary a bit by store. Were you able to ask a store associate?

      • Terry

She said she whatever we have there is all she knows off 🙁

        • Jordon

I found a sign at my local Walmart that said “Elmers Gluesticks, 2ct 6g 4/$1” but the only ones I found rang up 2/$1…so I brought the sign with me and made the cashier give me the price (or they would have owed me the difference plus 5 dollars)—they didn’t give me any issues and made me put the sign back (Good! Because I’m coming back for more! :P). If you can find the sign, you can get the deal but I think they’ve “pulled” that item maybe because of an error in judgment (2/$1 is a deal, 4/$1 is a steal). Good luck!

  8. Nina

Yes I think this is only regional. In north Jersey none of these things are on sale yet.

  9. AnnieL.

The crazy-art crayons are not the best quality… They are like smudgy. I use them around the house but not at school.

  10. Daphne

From a teacher: if you are trying to save money, go for the store brand paper, paper towels, tissues, and plastic bags. Spend money on Crayola markets and Crayola crayons. There is a huge difference in quality!

  11. Jessica M Cadreau

Where do I find the coupon for Elmers glue? Help please.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It is in the Smart Source coupon insert from 7/9. Hope this helps!

      • Jessica M Cadreau

But where do i get the smart source insert?

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The coupon inserts are available in the Sunday Paper. This coupon was in the Smart Source coupon insert from Sunday 7/9. 🙂

          • Kathy

Thanks for heads up Coline. But seems like smartsource is regional too. As I found last Sunday’s smartsource but it doesn’t have any supply coupons ..:(

            • Jessica M Cadreau

I looked as well did not see one for any glue 🙁

  12. Tina Cox

My local Walmart has a 20pk of Dixon #2 pencils for only $0.97!

  13. charliesandwallysmommy

so the .55 Elmer works on glue to?

  14. Elizabeth

Can’t believe it’s back to school stuff already!

  15. Carolyn E

Ours had the glue labeled 4/$1, but they rang up $.50…took them to customer service and she said “thats because you’re getting 4 for a dollar” I politely told her that the sign should read 2/$1 then. She refunded me the difference.

    • Jordon

Agreed, but I think there was an error in judgment for the sale…then again the larger ones are 2/$1–so when they get rid of all the 4/$1 signs, that’s where I’ll turn. 😀
