Looking to save time & money on your prescriptions?

Phil is a FREE service that manages your ongoing prescriptions so you don’t have to and they even offer FREE delivery – no catch! Even sweeter, Phil is currently offering new customers up to $20 off the insurance copay or medication price of the first shipment of your prescription(s). If you have multiple prescriptions, this offer applies only to one prescription selected by Phil – typically the lowest priced.

How does it work?

Phil partners with top-rated, locally-owned pharmacies that are licensed by the Pharmacy Board who pay Phil to use their own software, so you can enjoy FREE prescription delivery and more features.

Phil even guarantees that your copay will be the same as what you pay at your current pharmacy and if you don’t have insurance, their partner pharmacies will quote you the lowest price they can obtain for you. These pharmacies will then deliver your medications to you on time and answer any questions you may have over the phone. Using the Phil app, you can even refill your prescriptions on your own terms by scheduling when your medications arrive, ordering vacation refills, etc.

How do I get started?
  1. It takes only a minute to add your existing prescriptions to Phil
  2. Phil contacts your old pharmacy and does the paperwork for you
  3. Their partner pharmacies deliver meds to your doorstep every month, on time
  4. And you get customer service 7 days a week/365 days a year

would like to know if people are actually using this app , our pharmacy is looking to participate and i needed to know if it’s worth it ?

I would be afraid to use it. I usually take my meds by half (one a day instead of twice a day) because it saves me money. Since my daughter and grand kids moved in I don’t have an extra penny. LOL Hopefully they can move out in February. They would send it to me monthly I am sure.

    • didi

why would you be afraid to use it if it saves you money ?

    • Deb

I realize that this is NOMB, but as a nurse, I just had to say something. You are afraid to use a service that could save you money (and that you could research to see if it was legitimate), but not afraid to take only half of your medication dose, thus possibly never getting a proper blood level of the medicine and making it worthless (and, therefore, a waste of money and detrimental to your health)? Doesn’t seem very sensible to me. Just my 2 cents…………

as a pharmacist i second deb’s opinion , it is dangerous to not take your full dose of medication . and as for the app i looked on their website and they have the NABP verification which means they are licensed to practice internet pharmacy , but that doesnt mean they will have good service by default and that;s what i was asking about

She may be saying that if it’s an automatic payment, she might not have that amount on the day it debits from her account…if that’s the case I understand but it might be a moot point if it saves her a lot of money.

Thanks for the reminder about taking the full dosage as prescribed. I literally looked at my very expensive meds this morning and thought I needed to make them stretch. I’m going to check out this service. Thanks Collin!

          Hi All –

One of the value propositions we thrive on throughout our entire customer and patient base is the exemplary patient care and customer support that we provide. At the root of it, here at Phil we want it to be a painless experience when receiving your medication – which is why we do the heavy lifting for all of our patients in conjunction with our locally owned independent pharmacy partners throughout the US.

We are an automatic refill system, however, patients have full control using the patient portal after signing up, so if you need to skip a refill or can’t afford it when your insurance company says that it’s due, you can easily put it on hold until you’re ready to receive it again. No questions asked.

          Best,
          Riley

Anyone have experience with this?? I currently use Walmart as they are usually cheaper than my copay…

I would consider this if I didn’t have Kaiser. Unfortunately they won’t accept it. Here is what I copied from site.
We accept most insurance policies including Medicare Part D and Medi-Cal. We unfortunately cannot accept insurance that’s part of a closed network (e.g. Kaiser) that require you to fill your medication within their network.

I checked it out for my parents. The discount will not help them since there insurance is through Medicare. I realize it is a government regulation but it seems unfair they cannot get any of the special promotions like gas discounts, fifth prescription free, and such.

Otherwise it seems like a great program and I am going to sign up and use the $20.00 to see how it goes.

Do they accept all Medicaid plans? I have Gateway Medicaid Plan in PA.

    • Riley

      Hi There!

We do accept all Medicaid in PA.

We look forward to working with you in the near future!

      Best,

Phil provided nothing but a horrible experience. Total waste of time and energy. A week after signing up for the service, they hadn’t transferred any prescriptions from my old pharmacy. From day one, I explained several times that I’d need a prescription filled fairly soon. There was no concern or sense of urgency on their part about that particular medication or any other medication. They are great at answering emails fairly fast however the responses are hot air, bs to keep you from bothering them…like ‘the check is in the mail.’ They did nothing. I cancelled the service today and was told their pharmacy located my one prescription and it would be overnighted. It’s 11:15 PM and the status is “preparing to ship” the med that I’ve been telling them I’d need for the past week. I’ll be out of the med day after tomorrow.

If you take meds that are relatively unimportant, it might be okay but if you rely heavily on taking meds…forget Phil.
