It has exactly 1969 pieces. 🙂 So cool!

This sold out really quick the last time it was in stock! My husband loves space and he really enjoyed putting this together. It is expensive but they give you so many pieces!!

Thanks for sharing your experience Kristen! Glad to hear he enjoyed putting it together!

We got this for our 10 year old master builder. It took 3 days to put together and takes up a lot of space. The rocket stages, astronauts, lander and lunar module are really cool but it’s not a playable lego, more a showpiece. Perfect for a NASA kid or adult.

Thanks for your feedback! Good to know it is large and can take a while to put together!

Thanks for this info. That helps a lot to know. My 7yr old is a great builder, but then plays with his creations and wants to quickly change things up. He’s space-obsessed so I’d thought about this for Christmas, but I’ll probably hold off for a little while by your description. I do want this and Cinderella’s castle for me though;) Thanks!

Does anyone have any advice on how and where I could buy the lego Apollo Saturn V set asap? I need to purchase immediately as a gift for my nephew’s bday on Friday. His name is Apollo so this will hav3 special meaning to him. I am willing to pay 120-150 for it but can’t afford all the crazy prices listed on eBay and other sites.
