Ever heard of or shopped on Swap.com?

Swap.com is an online consignment and thrift store with millions of pre-owned items from gently used shoes and apparel to never used clothes and toys with the tags still on! Save on popular brands like American Eagle, Ralph Lauren, Carter’s, Old Navy & more.

Sounds similar to ThredUp.com – which I LOVE! You can’t beat scoring high end brands for a fraction of the cost! 👍

NOW is a great time to shop on Swap.com!

Through August 31st, hop on over to Swap.com where you can score an EXTRA 45% Off Sitewide (including clearance) when you enter the promo code 45DMIBTS at checkout! Plus, get FREE shipping on your first purchase of $10 or more – no code is necessary.

Please note, they are also hosting a 35% off sale… BUT keep in mind that if you add an item that is marked at 35% off, and then enter the 45% off code – the 45% discount will come off the original price.

In addition, Swap.com is offering a $20 Swap.com credit for every friend you refer who makes a purchase. Sweet!

With all that said, if you’re still doing some back to school shopping, GO HERE to browse around! In the clearance section prices start around the $2.30 mark, so as low as $1.70 after the code 45DMIBTS at checkout! Awesome!

Do you have to link to Facebook to have a profile and use the deals? Is there another option for creating a profile?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It does not appear that you have to login and create an account to complete your purchase.

  4. haitey

At checkout this code seems to be deducting significantly less than 45%… It was roughly 30% for me. I emailed for clarification, but maybe I missed something about items that don’t qualify?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmm, I am still grabbing 45% off with code 45DMIBTS. Maybe check a different browser.

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

Hey there Haitey! We just learned that they are also hosting a 35% off sale! If you add an item that is marked at 35% off, and then enter the 45% off code – the 45% off will come off the original price. Hope that helps!

  5. CVSTAKE

The discount code did not work for me either at checkout.

Does anyone know if they ship to FPO/APO addresses? I looked but couldn’t find anything on the website. We are military stationed overseas and sure miss thrift store shopping!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How odd. The code is still working for me as listed above. Are you by chance using a mobile device? If not, maybe check in a different browser as sometimes that can help.

  6. Becky

My total was $10 exactly and after the code it was $7.30, so not 45% off for me either.

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

      Hey Becky!

It appears they are also hosting a 35% off sale! If you add an item that is marked at 35% off, and then enter the 45% off code – the 45% off will come off the original price. Hope that helps!

  7. Renee

It worked for me! I was really surprised at all the variety and the prices were awesome. Thank you!

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

      You’re so welcome!

I am more curious about people who have used it before? Any complaints or pretty legit, sorry sometimes I go based on your comments if to try a site or not 🙂

    • AMH

I love this site! I’ve pleased orders and everything shows up nice 🙂

      • AMH

        Placed orders, I mean. Oops!

    • Beth

I just placed my first order about ten days ago. I received my items (3 Ann Taylor blouses) for about $17 as I had a code for 45% off. Because it was my first order, I did qualify for free shipping, too. Two of the blouses I absolutely love. But, one is very, very small. It was supposed to be a medium, and it is actually marked as such, but, it is comparable to an XXS. It is THAT small. Couldn’t even get it over my head to try it on. I want to send it back, but I believe I’m going to have to pay to ship it back. Considering I only paid about $5.75 for the blouse, it’s not really going to be worth it to pay to ship it back because shipping is probably going to run about that, if not more. So, I’m rather bummed about the top because it’s obvious to me that it’s mis-sized or something. It was a waste of my money. That being said, I would still consider buying from them again. It’s just this time around- the Ann Taylor top I really wanted didn’t work out. Bummer..

      • A

Maybe you could sell the too small top back to them or to thred up or a consignment shop? Might be a way to recoup a bit of your money.

      • Nina

Beth, if you go through the refund link (should be on your order invoice) you can ship it back for free. They will only give you store credit, but I’ve found that’s better than nothing and I just use it for my next order. Hope this helps!

      • Beth

Just popping back in to update the return process for my blouse that was too small. Oh my gosh! It was so easy! All I did was go to the return area, enter my order number, choose the blouse that I had issues with, mark the reason why and they processed my refund. Boom! It was so simple! I am DEFINITELY going to go back to swap.com again. It was super easy! And, I truly love the two blouses that I bought (that I didn’t have problems with sizing….lol!)

If anyone wants to give swap.com a try, would you mind using my link? https://refer.swap.com/s/momo2angels

    • Corissa

I use this sight all the time. Everything is really nice and they will return items you don’t like free of charge and a full refund quickly. They’re super easy to work with. Highly recommended. Using the coupon code swagbucks you can get free shipping.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re very welcome Rose!

oh man, I just bought the cutest Hanna Andersson boots for my 2yo. These consignment sites have been a let down when it comes to clothes for me, but I love them for my kids!!

  15. Brianna

Has anyone had luck selling items on here? I was unhappy with ThredUp’s prices for items I sold them and wondered how this compares.

    • Metronoma

Over the course of 2 years I’ve sent in 3 boxes of kids and women’s clothing and have made a little over $420.
The only issue I’ve had is with 2/3 boxes- when an employee at swap.com went to open the box, they (recklessly) used a box cutter and sliced a brand new name brand coat and then just threw it on a pile with other items that they classified as rejected – without telling me that they destroyed this item.
Another time, I had a brand new, with tags, dress from Lularoe in Ziploc bag.
When my items were finally listed (60-90 days processing time), I saw the photo with the rejected items and saw the Lularoe dress.
Looked for a free shipping code and had them send those rejected items back.
Upon receiving I saw the dress had a big sharpie mark all down the front of the dress- completely destroyed!
They basically have a lack of respect for the items ppl send in and also, sometimes, they are lazy with categorizing and categorize items wrongly which means you have to contact them to get it rectified.
Same with photos- Upside down, etc you name it.
Both times I took pictures and opened a case with the Better Business Bureau as their customer service is rather poor.
Both times considered, I would still recommend this site as it’s rather easy money.
Especially if you have lots of name brand clothes that barely/never got worn- You will get your $$ back with (mostly) minimal effort.
      Just my 2 cents 😉

  16. mrsgrobecker

I buy kids clothes on here and sell my clothes. It sends me money by PayPal every other week with no minimum. Please use my link https://refer.swap.com/s/mrsgrobecker

  17. tam

I have purchased from here before and always been happy with what I got. The one time I wasn’t I contacted them and they refunded me the purchase price, very happy with them, would appreciate it if you want to use my link https://refer.swap.com/s/tjranch

  18. Nina

You can also get 5% back going through Ebates, just to make the deal even a little sweeter!

  19. Marisol

Just placed my first order….we’ll see how it turns out when the items arrive!

    • Marisol

      I used Ebates too.

  20. Holly

I’ve ordered from this site before and Benny’s happy overall, but one item (navy blue color) showed significant wear/fading in person that wasn’t apparent from the pic on the site (had been listed as “good” condition, but I’d have called it “fair” d/t the fading). Also purchased a pair of jean for my little that were listed as all season, but turned out to be fleece lined (not listed in the description), so not sure if they’ll be the right size by the time I can use them. For those sharing their referral links publicly — just be careful bc Swap doesn’t use number identifiers in their links like most other sites, they use your email handle (and you might not want your email to be public on a site/message thread).

    • Metronoma

I actually listed a pair of fleece lined jeans with Swap.com and same thing- they didn’t mention anything in the listing about being fleece lined (which could make or brake the sale for the seller and buyer).
I find it is frequent that the item’s condition is listed improperly such as you said.
New items being listed as “good” or “fair” and vice versa or when the sizes are European, they don’t bother to use a size chart for accuracy, they just guesstimate which more often than not isn’t correct which places the item in the wrong size category…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks so much for sharing your experience Holly!

  21. Rose

Hi, I used the 45DMBITS code & got 45% off my first order just now. Excited to receive my items ( on or abt Aug 22-24). Since it’s good until Aug 31st, can anyone tell me if I can use the 45% off code more than once? Thx!!

  22. Connie

Back2school50 gives 50% off kids clothes. It worked on some junior sized jeans for my daughter.

  23. Kayla

Just placed my order and saved even more with the code “AUGUSTGET40.” This one took 40% off each item while “45DMIBTS” took ~30% off my order (not each item). I also went through Ebates and saved an additional 5%!

  24. Regina Hughes

Are there any discount codes for new consigning clients? They offer discount code box on their site page for send items to swap.com. however I have not been able to find any codes available through internet searches or on swap.com website. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! October. 6, 2017
