I purchased this pillow in July because I was going to have surgery and needed to sleep upright as a result. The pillow was soft, comfy and not overly firm/hard. I think it’s good if you need support while on the couch or reading in bed. I ended up using a firm pillow in conjunction with this to give extra support to my lower back.

I bought five of these last time (for my oldest four kids and me) and we all love them! The kids use them while reading in bed at night. We’ve only had them a short while, but I’d recommend them!

Similar backrest pillows can be found at Costco for $12. They’ve got an assortment of colors, my fav being a deep Eggplant color! They also have body pillows which in obsessed with.
