Amazon Dash Button is a Wi-Fi connected device that reorders your favorite product with the press of a button. Each Dash Button is paired with a product of your choice, which is selected during the set-up process. When you’re running low, simply press Dash Button—ensuring you never run out of your essentials again.

Order Protection keeps you from getting unwanted orders!

With this setting, Dash Button will not place a new order until your prior order is delivered—regardless of how many times Dash Button is pressed. You will also receive an order notification for every order placed and you can cancel orders at any time before they are marked as “Shipping Soon”.

Check out what Hip2Save Readers Have to Say:

I think this concept would be helpful for our aging parents and older adults that can’t drive or have difficulty shopping, etc. For example, the dog food dash button is perfect for my mother-in-law. She can’t walk around in a store anymore and has trouble lifting items. She is not tech savvy enough to order online but we can set this up in her house for her to push when she needs dog food!

I think the idea is that you can place the button right near where you use the item, so that right when you realize you’re low/need it, you can press it to order so that you don’t forget. I often realize I need something in the moment, only to get distracted and forget about it shortly thereafter.

(Thanks, Nicola!)

how do you earn the 14.97 back in credits?

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

Hey there Kathryn! You’re $4.99 credit will automatically apply when you use your dash button for the first time. Just be sure to place your oder BEFORE December 31st, 2017.

Glad I waited ! Now for the hubby to freak! What the heck is this now?! 😂

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

      LOL! 😉

Kudos to whoever invented these buttons. We are paying companies to order their products?

    • Jess

Nope. You pay $4.99 for 3 buttons. You get $4.99 off of your first order of each of your 3 products. You are actually making $10. I hope that makes sense :/

      • Ashley

It reads that you get a credit after your first order, not that it’s 4.99 off your first order.

    • Julie S.

      I agree

  4. Moriah

Can you only use the credit on the dash button items you order or anything you buy on Amazon?

    • Brittany

It only comes off when you use the dash button for the first time

  5. Rachel Amatuzzi

How do these buttons know which product to order when you press it? The Mrs. Meyers dash button can order more than 30 different items. How do I tell it what I want?

    • Brittany

When you set it up you pick the product

      • Roxanne Corona

Can you change your buttons options? Or is it stuck on that choice forever?

    Landfill clutter.

  7. Shannon

Anyone else think this is just stupid? I am all for technology, but it’s really not that hard to place an order or get subscribe and save.

    • AG

I completely agree. The only way I’d consider having something like this is if I received a major discount. Otherwise it’s just junk and clutter.

    • AJ

If you buy these on sale, they are money makers. I press the button, cancel the initial order, and then I’m able to use that credit on any item shipped and sold by Amazon rather than the item associated with the button. I’ve never used the buttons to place an order.

  8. Cleo

Agree wholeheartedly Shannon. More stuff. With brand names.
They are now having to pay people to buy them?

  9. Cheap cheap goes the mommy

Wonder if u get a ” my toddler pressed the button 10 times discount” my kids sure would have fun with that! Awesome Idea for the elderly…thanks for sharing!

  10. Claudia

This is only good for the elderly for real. I have used these and man it’s a landfill clutter. My 1 year old has found these on the floor because the tape won’t stick to anything and she has bought items 😩🤦🏾‍♀️ Thankfully I needed those too!
