Yay! I’ve been waiting/wondering if they would be doing this again this year.

  2. Alicia

Sams club is always cheaper for Halloween candy! Especially if buying in bulk

    • Claudia

      Even with this cartwheel?

  3. Dawn

Does Cartwheel still have a limit of 4? Thanks Collin for the heads up on this terrific deal! ๐Ÿ’—

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Dawn! The Cartwheel offer will apply for up to 4 items per transaction, up to 6 transactions per day! Hope this helps!

  4. Amy

You do realize that if I buy this today, you’re going to have to find me another deal before Halloween, right? This candy will never last another 5 weeks in the house!!! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

    • ET

Same here! I can’t buy Halloween candy this many weeks ahead of time!

    • Ashley

Exactly. Candy never lasts more than a week in my house ๐Ÿ™

    • Vivienne

I’m glad I am not the only one who has this problem. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. Loving It

Can I use coupons on top of that?

    • Suzanne

      Yes!

  6. Sharon

Is this in store only, or can I order online?

    • Laura

      Cartwheel is only IN STORE

  7. Melissa

They do these sales this far in advance because they know we’ll just have to buy again before Halloween! ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  8. coby

are there coupons that we can use with this? thanks

    • tiffany

I’mnot for positive if the ounces match up, but in the 9-10 rp there is $2/3 mars candy, $1/2 mars xandy in the 8/27 rp and theres $1/2 printable. Haven’t checked the restrictitions yet but i’m hopeful lol

      • tara

someone please share if these coupons work!

        • Laura

I was able to use the $2 off 3 this morning!!

          • Mom24boyz

            I used RP 9/10 .50/1 Mars bag a few hours ago ๐Ÿ˜Š

      • Sara

What is rp? i’m having trouble finding coupons for the candy online.

        • Krisp

          Red plum

  9. Tracya

I know this is a SILLY question, but how the heck do I use the cartwheel coupons?!?! I add them to my cart, but then when I put the candy in there the coupon is not applied. I’m sorry if I’m completely missing the obvious on this!! Any help would be appreciated.

    • Andrea

It’s valid in store only ๐Ÿ˜‰. You have to have the cashier scan the barcode on the cartwheel app ๐Ÿ‘

      • tracya

Duh! Thank you so much Andrea!

  10. Patty

    Awesome thanks!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re so welcome!

  11. Naomi

Is Costco a better deal? Anyone know?

    • megan

I price compared today! Costco was $2.93 per pound and target was $2.11 per pound for what I think is mostly comparable candy, the bag is bought was mostly chocolate with a few skittles. And I only had to buy half as much, which is good because our neighborhood doesn’t get a ton of trick or treaters.

  12. Jackie

This is an amazing deal people. I was at the store when they were putting the signs that said 40% off with cartwheel. Grabbed a 5 lbs (200 pieces) bag of skittles, hubba bubba gym and starburst for $9.00 regular $15. This bag is so BIG!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Happy to hear what a great deal you could snag Jackie! Thanks for sharing!

I understand that most kids want candy for halloween BUT please remember the children with food allergies. PLEASE consider non-food treats and keep them separate from candy for the children that can’t have candy so they can enjoy Halloween too!!!!

    • Martha

My daughter has a life threatening peanut allergy and she’s always had plenty of gum, skittles, twizzlers, tootsie rolls, lollipops etc etc etc to enjoy every year. There are still tons of allergy-friendly candies to get in addition to the yummy chocolate ones!!

    • Naomi

I so candy & non-food treats. I have the blue pumpkin outside my door!

      • Princess

I got the torquoise pumpkin from Michaels a few years ago on clearance. I got it because it’s my favorite color and it matches the doors on my house. I leave it outside throughout the fall as part of my decor. I wasn’t aware at the time that it had a significant meaning to trick or treaters. I remove it from my porch on Halloween because we aren’t home (out trick or treating), but I do love that it signifies that there are alternatives for children with allergies at that house.

    • jane

I do agree, the first time a kid looked at me sad that they couldn’t find a candy in my bowl they weren’t allergic to I really felt bad but I found a couple pieces for her but it did stick with me and I think all kids deserve to have fun and get treats so I will make sure I have candy non nut and chocolate and “other ” non food items. I don’t put out any blue pumpkin kids are just going to have to walk up to the house the old fashioned way to know.

      • Diana

I saw the blue pumpkins at michaels. I was wondering what that was about. Good to know ๐Ÿ˜Š

      • Amanda

You can print out a sign from the Teal Pumpkin Project’s website. That’s what I do.

    • Valerie

Thank you! My son has several food allergies and celiac. I always buy treats that are free of the major allergens to put out. Plus after we sort his candy if he doesn’t have much I can always give him some extra.

  14. Shonda

Thank you, Collin! I ran out and bought candy and a Harry Potter costume. Candy is already in my pantry labeled “DO NOT EAT-FOR HALLOWEEN”. LOL!!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Lol! Happy you could snag some candy on the cheap! You’re very welcome! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  15. cooper

Target will probably have more deals like this….they want to dump as much as possible before it all has to go on clearance.

    • jand

for a bit yes but then the prices are higher because everyone will be buying candy right before halloween.

  16. kat

Are there any coupons I can print off? I don’t get the newspaper inserts.

  17. jand

Thanks!! I got 4 bags. I am having a party for my son as well so it will all get used quickly. I think it comes out to 0.14 for an ounce and that is the best price around and that is without paper coupons. If you have coupons even better.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How fun! You’re very welcome Jand! Glad you could stock up for the party!

  18. Tasha Gurske

    Thanks Collin!
    I just saved $40+!!!
I did the math on 1 bag at Target today, so I’ll give the numbers so that Costco can be compared too.
$14.99 Mars Chocolate Favorites 135 pieces, 4 pounds, 5.2 oz, less than 17ยข
per ounce. Mix includes twix, milky way, Snickers and m&m, all chocolate.
These are the fun size, not the miniatures. I find I give out more at a time when it’s the miniatures!
The same mix in the $9.99 bag worked out to over 18ยข per ounce.

Just checked Sam’s club online, same mix, bigger size, $14.98 but works out to over 18ยข per ounce.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re most welcome! Thanks for the helpful feedback! Happy you could snag such great savings! ๐Ÿ˜€

    • jules

      thanks for doing the math!!

  19. Keila

In addition to candy, we have a cooler full of cold waters and the powdered drink mix packets for the kids. Its always a hit in our neighborhood with the kids. They are usually on the warm side in their costumes and on the thirsty side.

    • Princess

      What an awesome idea.

  20. Laurie

    I bought a HUGE (240) Mars minus bag – minus the 40% and a $3 gc I had – walked out paying $5.99!!!

  21. Mommyof4

It worked on the $9.99 boxes of ring pops and airheads too. ๐Ÿ˜

    • Nicole

Yes!!! I was so excited about that!!! I like to give out one nice piece of candy instead of the mini candy bars. I always feel like I have to give the kids a couple pieces otherwise. The ring pops broke down to $.16 per piece for the ring pops. Last year I found Twinkies on sale at Winco for $.10 each!!

  22. Kim Rodriguez

I went on my lunch break so I could be sure to get the costumes my kids want this year. I got two costumes ($25 & $30), 3 big bags of chocolate variety packs (2 @ $14.99 each, 1 @ $9.99) and spent $62. ๐Ÿ™‚ Awesome!!

  23. Darcie

Did you guys see the Cadbury “Harvest Balls?” Like the mini eggs at Easter time. Just bought mine at Target today. Someone answered my chocolate prayers ๐Ÿ˜‚

    • jand

yes! saw them but haven’t eaten them yet. The people want cadbury year round!

  24. Alicia

Thank you so much!! I have to plan around my daughters birthday Friday 13th! Halloween and a school party and needed candy for all 3 events!!! Got 4 bags but going to go back to get 4 more to make sure I have enough for all events!!!

  25. Laura

Make sure you check your receipts. At my store all the $9.99 bags that were good with the cartwheel were also on sale for 2 for $15, but they weren’t ringing up right. I asked customer service before I checked out and they manually changed them for me.

  26. Justin

Target does this Cartwheel candy and costumes one day sale every year, usually the third Tuesday of September. It’s a real wallet saver for me because I love passing out candy on Halloween and my block gets a lot of kids, 340 last year, so today I bought 450 pieces!
