I have Hulu. The commercials aren’t that bad at all. I read some reviews prior to getting it and a lot of people made it sound unbearable. They even have recent episodes of some shows. So far, I like!

My issue is that if I get a glitch and have to exit it starts over from the beginning instead of saving the spot like netflix

Glad to hear you have been enjoying hulu! Thanks for your great review!

This is great!! We’re seriously considering getting rid of our satellite & going with live streaming!!

I love Hulu but lately they’ve done some updates that makes it unviewable via Roku. It seems like every other day that it won’t work and if you look on their Facebook page, other people are having the same problem streaming it on their Roku and other apps. The only way it’s working 100% of the time for me is on my iPad. It’s likely this offer stemmed from them losing many loyal customers from these recent problems. I know they’ll work out the bugs eventually but thought I’d share this information.

That’s odd. We haven’t had any problems at all with Hulu through our Roku.
To anyone considering cutting cable and streaming – do it! We cut cable about 2 years ago and haven’t missed it for a second. We have Hulu, Prime, Netflix and an antenna for live network TV and still pay about $50 less per month than cable. And we have A LOT more to watch!

    • MekaRTR

No issue on my roku stick either and I have an older roku stick. Have you looked in your roku settings to see if you may need to update the software?

I am trying Hulu for the first time…and yes I HATE THE COMMERCIALS! I’m so use to having a DVR that to watch commercials is painful so I doubt I’ll keep it after the trial. (Or maybe upgrade)

    • Laura

YES! The commercials are awful and it’s the same ones repeatedly. It’s worth about a dollar a week for the no commercials plan.

      • Laura

I agree with the other Laura (LOL) – we upgraded an extra $4/month for the no commercials plan and it is 100% worth it! Besides not having to sit through those repetitive commercials, It makes the show go a lot faster.

WARNING If you plan to cancel at the end of 45 days do it a couple days before the expiration date. I got an email that said I had until 10 10 17 , but they crept in and charged me for a full month before my trial was even over. Now I’m trying to get my money back through a Paypal dispute. Not nice. (Also, be sure to go into Paypal and manually disable reocurring payments to Hulu, as well as cancel at the Hulu site itself.) I was planning to go to Hulu from Sling, but when I got stung like this it made me really mad. I don’t do business with sneaky sites. Who knows what is next and wait times to get help from them is 20 minutes.
