I am afraid to buy one before Nov 1st through Amazon or any other company, for return reasons. Amazon will let you return an item through January if purchased after nov 1st. I’ve been reading that a lot of these are breaking after a short amount of time. So I am afraid to buy one and not being able to return it, if I buy it now and give it on xmas.

Stay away from casescene.com. They sell knock offs! Website had shown Fingerlings when I placed my order. Waited over a month only to receive a “Happy Monkey”. Was very disappointed!!

It’s crazy how popular these little monkey are! However, I was pleasantly surprised to find several in stock at my boyfriend’s Walmart and Hallmark today. Bought a few extras, therefore I have some for sell (Bella (pink), Finn (Black), Mia (purple), Sophie (white) and Boris (blue with orange hair)
I believe ToysRUs has the one that comes with the swing back in stock for 24.99 ATM for people who are interested. Thank god my kids are Not into these. IMO They’re way too expensive for one finger monkey.

This is my first time seeing these little creatures! My daughter will love this so I grabbed one earlier. Good point about buying before Nov. 1st though – I never thought of that. If something goes wrong, I will contact Amazon and hope for the best – they have returned things for me in the past even after the return deadline, so you never know!

Please be certain the brand you are buying is Wow Wee and either sold by or guaranteed by Amazon. There are so many inferior versions out there, and Amazon has not been doing a great job of weeding out copycat/lookalikes. And I am a huge Amazon shopper. I was able to buy a Fingerling and a play gym together for just $24.99 on Target. I just checked and do not see any, but am sure they will be back in stock eventually.
We got one in August for my daughter’s bday. She’s 6. Played with it for literally 10 min and hasn’t touched it since. It’s now in my 11 month old’s toy bin.

I saw a bunch of these in several colors at the Hallmark store in my mall yesterday. St. Peters, MO. $20 though.

Walmart has them for $14.84, but of course, they are out of stock. You can sign up for an alert though, and they will email you when they are in stock.
I ordered 2 from amazon 2 weeks ago. I got shipping confirmation, tracking numbers, and it showed they were shipped and on their way. Then out of nowhere they canceled my order and refunded my money. I wouldn’t count on amazon as a sure bet to get one of these because of that. I ended up running into one at target!
I ordered one and they cancelled it, also. Fingers crossed things go better this time.

Picked up one of these at my local Target in soCal the other day for a birthday gift. $15. There was a few on the shelf, I didn’t even realize they were so hard to find. And my Target is a VERY busy Target, everything good is always gone!
I have to relay this story, as it’s bothering me.
3 weeks ago I ordered (1) fingerling on the Walmart site. they were in stock at the time.
this order was from one of their many vendors. I looked for the right wordings, as their are fake one’s out their, the package was the correct genuine one. said the wording, “WowWee” trust me, I figured it was a genuine “wowWee” but now, I don’t think so.
so I get a confirmation and they even sent me a tracking number (by the way, when I input it on the USPO, it kept saying “error”, but from the Walmart site, it says shipped , arriving oct. 12 (Walmart Exclusive Bonus stand with suction cup to attach anywhere!)
ok, so I wait and nothing. so I email the vendor, this is where it wasn’t meant to be.
so I copied and pasted the vendor’s response. here it is:
“We checked your order.It have problem with country customs.
So here we full refund you.
Sorry again.”
so the item, I guess is coming from china. what do you think, real or fake. (I did get a refund on my account)
I can tell by this response, they are not from here. look at the language and how it is written.

Nope not real. I have looked on Walmart and seen them in stock but refuse to order from the vendors in fear of this. I hate how people are creating fakes and companies are letting them sell them on their website. Amazon has been good though recently. I noticed the fakes slowly have been disappearing. Their still on amazon but not as many as when these first came out.
I was looking at a seller on eBay, the pics were the wowwee brand, exactly what I was looking for, but it said coming from China. I sent the seller an email telling them the pic clearly shows the front and back of the package that it’s authentic wowwee and I told them I didn’t want a knockoff or any package tampering, and I would order as soon as I had confirmation from them. They responded immediately saying it definitely was not wowwee and I should not order if that’s what I want…I appreciated the honesty but unfortunately too many people are falling for it!
I am waiting for mine from the New Egg deal. I received a shipping confirmation but it’s been quite a while. Makes me nervous that they are fake ones coming from China or somewhere.

Check brickseek at your local Walmart stores. One store near me received a shipment of 23 pink ones this morning. I was even able to place the order online for pickup in store. Worth a try.
