Check with your energy company, I got a $75 rebate for a new Nest that I just purchased. With the rebate, it turned out to be even more than 20% off. 🙂

I got the Honeywell one from a deal posted here earlier this year or last year (I can’t remember. Lol). Happy with it, except it does randomly disconnect from wifi. It always reconnects by itself eventually. I also got the echo dot from a deal here, so combined they have taken my laziness to a whole new level. Nothing like saying “Alexa, turn the thermostat up one degree”. But she can’t during those times it falls off wifi. That happens about once a week on average. Oh, and I installed it myself. 40-something year old female with no electrical experience. Overall I’m happy except the dropping from wifi issue. (I’ve read online that it’s common for this thermostat). And not a bad option considering the price point. Oh and I like that it looks hi-tech and sexy on my wall. Can an electrical item be sexy? Lol.

Agreed, think I paid 70 from target. Couldn’t get Alexa to work right with it, but I will try again.

Is there a device for the outside that allows the thermostat to show the outside temperature?

  4. AP

He Honeywell one goes inside, but does show the outside temp. It has to be connected to wifi to do that though. You can see it in the image. Hth!
