The coupon from the machine wouldn’t scan because checkout said they were lip balms not cosmetics- she manually entered it and then took down the sign over the Baby Lips!

That is a crazy distinction – I may not try this now, because my store is really picky and will not manually enter anything. I love these lip balms.

i bought today liquid foundation and concealer stick using the cvs machine coupons.got one 4 off/1 maybelline product and one 4 off 18$ maybelline products coupon and 30% off your purchase coupon.both items are around 20$ together and got discount of total 12.89 with above coupons.paid 8.50 and got back 8$ extrabucks.(5 for maybelline deal and 3 for beauty purchase for 30$). thanks hip2save i was totally new to couponing and i learnt about it from your site.you guys totally deserve an applause

Yes you should. Maybelline only sells cosmetics and the items are in the “cosmetic” section. Some of these have faint color as well. Someone at your store location is being a sour puss.
I have a $10 off $40 coupon. Is it $40 before or after coupons,cvs discounts/deals…? I spoke with customer service and they said it’s after all the discounts and coupons are applied. But I seem to remember reading from here that I should give the $10 off $40 coupon last. Thanks!
I used the same coupon today. For me at cvs it has always been BEFORE coupons, so I would hand that coupon first to be scanned. But some stores may differ. What I do is send the coupon to my card on Sunday night and then it gives me about 3-4 days to use coupon. Then at the store hand over all your coupons and let them know you sent a coupon to your card. It will be green and they will apply it to total. Good luck.
I used a $5/$25 coupon yesterday and I always give that first, but for some reason it didn’t come off and the manager had to be called.
I’m going to give this a try. My only issue is that I can’t get there till tomorrow afternoon and they are going to be wiped out I am sure.

Last time I checked Maybelline only sells cosmetics and the items are in the “cosmetic” section, so I’m not sure what’s going on at CVS. It really seems like sour grapes at some of these locations which is bad PR.
Agree, I went to CVS yesterday and it took my manufacturer coupons no problems, but then it kicked out like every one of my CVS coupons, the manager had to come up and push each one through. I had a $10 off $40 purchase, $3 off $12 cosmetics, $4 off Maybelline, it was a hassle. My checkout took like 15 minutes just cause it kept kicking things out and they kept trying to override them. Some stores now just flat out refuse to take coupons if it kicks them out even though they are acceptable.
My CVS won’t take a coupon if it beeps. They said that they took out the override key and there is nothing they can do. 🙁

I saw this deal and it didn’t go as smoothly as it should this morning. I now see others are having the same issues. First, the register kicked out the $4 CVS coupon and then it did not print my $5 Extra Care Bucks. They had to force print the Extra Care Bucks.
I did the babylips deal and use the $4 off with no issuse and it printed my $5ecb.
May you share which variations of the baby lips worked for you?
