Have YOU Heard the News? 🎄

WooHoo! Starting November 1st and running all the way through December 23rd, Target.com will once again be offering up FREE shipping and FREE returns – no minimum and no promo code needed! Even better, if you’re a Target REDcard holder, you’ll save an additional 5% off your purchases!

Also, did you know that Target.com will soon be launching a new GiftNow feature that will allow you to choose from thousands of gifts that the recipient is guaranteed to like?! Your friend will receive an e-gift email that lets him/her accept the gift, change the color or size, OR even pick out something entirely different—all before the item ships. Just click the “GiftNow” button and check out as usual.

Thoughts?!

Also, starting November 11th, Target will be having special Weekend Deals with BIG savings in stores and online Saturdays & Sundays to help you save on everything you need for holiday prep (think kitchen gear for Thanksgiving).

They’ll reveal the deals the week before each starts, so stay tuned to social media, TV, in-store signage, etc. Don’t worry – we’ll be sure to post about these awesome sales on Hip2Save!

AND, if you live in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, there’s no need to even go inside the store. With their new Drive Up service, they’ll even bring your items out to your car. How awesome is that!? 😮

      Me too! πŸ˜€

  2. Lolie

Love the free shipping! I will take advantage of that! I’m not quit sure what to think about the GiftNow feature…πŸ€”

  3. Casey Meyers

I also love there free shipping. This is where I have been getting my nephews Christmas present from since I have to ship it. πŸ˜€

Jury is out on the new gifting program. What would be the difference between that and gift cards if the recipient can change what’s been ordered? The free shipping is one reason I have the Target Redcard. But I’m glad other folks will be able to benefit now, too!

What’s a bummer is that, even as a Redcard holder, many items now only ship free with a $25 order. I love my RedCard but a lot of smaller items I used to buy regularly are no longer free to ship.

Not really sure I’m on board with the gift feature… seems a little weird to me! I guess it’ll help lower the number of returns…

    • Casey Meyers

Not sure about the gifting feature option. If they are that picky I might just rather give them a gift card and let them decide when they are ready. The only difference I can see so far is, with the gifting option you get something without having to spend more then what is on the gift card.

Nordstrom has something similar. You pick the gift and the receiver picks the color and size. Or they can choose to get a gift card for the full amount instead.

That green bean casserole looks DELICIOUS!! I can’t wait for Thanksgiving food!!

  6. Workaholic

    Yeeesss!

  7. SusyShmoosy

I’m all for free shipping, but as a red card holder we should get an additional perk as well.

    • Jennifer

5% off is a perk to me.

  8. Amy

And Nov 1st they start the 50% off toy of the day deal.

  9. MermaidMommy

Yes! Super excited, I love free shipping.

  10. Kalynn

Any idea when their big toy magazine will be sent out? I hope I get one! A few friends received a TRU one, but not me. And several weeks ago my SIL told me she got a decent sized magazine with a $10 off coupon on it and I also never got that. I’m a red card holder and shop there all the time!

    • Amy

I’m waiting for the toy book too! I’ve been a red card holder for years and have only gotten the toy book once. I’m hoping this is my year!

    • Cristine

I got mine today- my kids already went through it!

  11. Klg534

    Wohoo! Free Shipping!

  12. Dayna

Online/email gifting is going to be interesting. At least it means less returns

  13. CherryBlossom

They will definitely get my business during the free shipping time frame. Also, GiftNow feature sounds pretty neat.

    waiting for this!

  18. EsEs

    Yay

  19. Lo

I like the gift giving idea! I feel like I just don’t want my money wasted and most ppl won’t tell you they don’t like a gift. This way I know they either loved it or didn’t and applied my money towards something they’d like. And I’m nosy so I’d love to see what they chose πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  20. Deb

not happy about the the egift, email they recipient recieves, come on, they can choose to accept the gift, or choose something else? What is the point of giving a gift, if they can not accept it and choose something else? And they also know what you paid? I like free return shipping, but the email and exchanging for something else all together?! no!

  21. LibbyE

I sure hope that drive up feature goes nationwide. I can’t tell you how convenient that would be shopping with a toddler. YOU WOULDN’T EVEN HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR!!! ;0)

  22. Sue S

I like the idea the recipient can choose right then and there if they want the gift you picked out or they can change it to exactly the size, color, or something totally different. It makes your gift to ship, more versatile and perhaps less returns for the receiver. FREE SHIPPING:)

We heard at our store that Target will be offering a military discount on Veterans Day this year. My husband showed his military ID for an in store pick up and she said “OH since you’re military..” She then proceeded to write that they would offer a discount on a piece of paper and said they weren’t allowed to actively advertise it, but were allowed to say something if asked. So weird. Anyway, could make for some great deals for us military families with Christmas shopping πŸ™‚

  24. Tracie
