   I’m pretty upset because when I went to go do this deal, I found out ibotta took $8 from on the 19th for inactivity. Wth ibotta?!

  there is an inactivity fee. I believe it starts after not redeeming an offer in 12 months. If your acct has been active, contact CS –

  Update Effective April 2016: Our policy changed from needing to add an offer to needing to redeem an offer within twelve months in order to avoid an inactivity fee.

  If you fail to successfully redeem an offer on your Ibotta account for twelve (12) months, your account will be considered “inactive.” Redeeming an offer requires adding an offer and successfully completing the redemption process for at least one item (better understand the process here). While your account is inactive, Ibotta will deduct an amount equal to three dollars and 99 cents ($3.99) from your accumulated Ibotta earnings every month prior to reactivation (“Inactivity Fee”). This fee does not continue accumulating after there is a $0.00 balance in your Ibotta account, so there are no charges that you will need to pay for our service.

  Ibotta will attempt to notify you before your account becomes inactive by sending you an email to the address we have on file for you. Subject to Ibotta’s right to terminate your account under these Terms, you may reactivate your Ibotta account by logging into your account. If your state’s law prohibits Ibotta from charging the Inactivity Fee, Ibotta may deduct an Inactivity Fee equal to the maximum permitted by the laws of your state.
