   We got a different brand (Chefman) as a gift. While I think it is great for individual snacks, like fries or wings, in my opinion it doesn’t really work for family meals. If you put a lot in the basket it takes much longer to cook. It is great for reheating items that you’d like crispy.

   Has anyone seen one with an insert that fits inside the fryer so you can have 2 layers? I have to agree with connie that doing large batches does not work. you need to do single layers. I have heard rumors about the insert but have not seen one

   I highly recommend getting a larger air fryer if you have a family. I bought one on eBay for about $80 shipped and it’s 5.8qt. We can fit a whole 5lb chicken in there and it better than any rotisserie you get at the grocery store. We use it all the time and have been completely pleased with the basic model.    I highly recommend the air fryer to everyone. I use it daily a few times. From cooking to reheating to crisping.. it cooks chicken better then anything IMO. More juicy n moist and quicker.
