  1. Mom To Kindergartener

Would this be a good gift for a Kindergarten teacher for Thanksgiving as a “we are thankful for you” gift.

    • Stefanie

I don’t think it’s best to give teachers scented products because you never know if they or a family member might have allergies or chemical sensitivities to worry about. I’m a teacher and this is my problem. I would suggest a small gift card for a coffee or lunch somewhere to treat them and thank them.

      • April

So a teacher would rather have nothing if it’s not a gift card? I would go with nothing if I knew that is how they thought.

        • Thia

Well that’s not cool April. Teachers prefer gift cards which most of the time is spent on our kids.

        • Stefanie

First of all, I don’t speak for all teachers.

Second, I did not say that. I said be careful of scented items and suggested a gift card in a small amount. I never said any gift is necessary at all.

    • Jen

I’m a teacher and trust me, anything that shows appreciation and thanks is always welcome!

  4. Jennifer

I think it would be a very nice gift for a Kindergarten teacher. Great idea!!

  5. Kari

This would be a GREAT gift for a teacher! I have sisters that are teachers and I have always helped in the schools with the younger grades. Hands dry out so much from constantly washing and using sanitizer, not to mention the cold winter weather. This scent is awesome and energizing. Who doesn’t love the smell of oranges!!!

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks for the feedback, Kari!

Thanks H2S, awesome deal. I’m a teacher and any gift to show your appreciation is always welcomed in my opinion. Reading the comments above I also agree that gift cards are safe and fantastic but really anything is thoughtful too. I love these scents but since I teach medically fragile students I would only use it at home and not school because it could possible cause one of my students to have a seizure. It’s true that certain scents can causes kids with allergies and asthma to have problems so just be careful. But again as a teacher, I know what I can use around my kids…. so who says I can’t use it as I as I leave campus. πŸ™‚ got one for myself! πŸ˜¬πŸ‘

      Thanks for the helpful feedback!

  8. Mourrene

Might be a good gift for a bus driver or the mail carrier.

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for more great ideas, Mourrene!

  9. Mary

I’m a teacher and so any gift is very much appreciated. Besides we can’t be choosy if it’s a gift, it’s the thought that counts.

  10. KarenG

I was a teacher and received many different kinds of gifts. All were greatly appreciated! I know it was a sacrifice for many of the parents. I always let it slip in class that I would really love a hand written note and maybe a hug from my students. I was thrilled that a student would sit down and write a note or draw a lovely picture for me. Often the notes were accompanied by a hug. Be careful with the hug part not all teachers are comfortable with this and in some cases the school district has strict policies against it. Occasionally a parent would write me a lovely note expressing their appreciation. I would keep all those notes in my desk and read them throughout the rest of the year when I would wonder why on earth I taught πŸ™‚ Merry Christmas

How sweet! Thanks for sharing your experience! πŸ˜‰

I’m a teacher who would be thankful for the thought and then I’d donate it. Teachers get so many lotions and candles. My favorite things are the notes from families. I save every single one!

The British Rose beauty bag is $7.42 with the coupon. Not sure how you managed to get the Satsuma bag for $7.75, it’s $10+ for me after the coupon.

      Thanks for the heads up!
