I think these sound really awesome, but the reviews are very negative.

These have pretty bad reviews online, does anyone have experience with them? They look pretty cool, but….

They look like they are great for getting minds to think in the direction of innovation, but I can see how this might be complicated

My 4 year old LOVES Rube Goldberg machines so we got some for his birthday last year. The sets are fun and well made but they are extremely finicky. (As is the nature of Rube Goldberg machines in general…) Depending on your kid they might need a little help setting them up but we’ve had a lot of fun with them. You just need a stable surface, steady hand, and patience!

Oh cool! Thanks so much for your helpful review Liz!

i bought one for my 8 years old before, won’t buy it again.
First, the material is cheaply plastic make. My son was so excited to built it, but the cheap materials doesn’t hold the design well.
second, my son finally build the set and played couple times, the whole thing fall.
overall, disappointed and waste of money.

Bummer! Sorry to hear it did not hold up well 🙁 Thanks for the honest review!

My son recently got one for his 8th birthday. It was tricky for him to put together (and he is a Lego whiz) and a lot of the pieces wouldn’t stand up or stay how they should. He played with it for a minute and it’s been in the box ever since.

Darn! Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

    I appreciate the reviews.

Don’t waste your money on these sets. Cutest designs and concept- HORRIBLE execution. The sets are flimsy and if they don’t match up just perfectly, the whole thing collapses. My 2 boys were near tears of frustration and I was ready to turn Psycho Mom and hurl the whole thing against the wall. These ended up in the trash; I wouldn’t put any other parent through this, so I didn’t bother donating.

My son (6yo) bought with his birthday money, my husband and him tried to put it together for over an hour. They would get one section built and then another section would fall. It looked so cool on the box, but it’s like they didn’t even bother testing it
