From what I have read on best buys questions yes. It says there is a kids mode and then there is normal mode where parents can enter their password and use it just like a regular tablet.

Im glad these are $49.99…they have had so many complaints with this tablet; just like when everyone bought the Nabi and there was so many gliches, charging trouble, tab not rebooting, etc
So $49.99 not a bad price to pay. At least you can get a good 3 months out of it. I would def recommend going to Best Buy and buying the new 9.7′ Samsung Tablet on sale. It will be going back on sale again I believe starting Sunday. $500 tablet for $279 and 1 yr warranty with $60 option for an extended warranty. I bought all these tablets for my son and regret throwing my money away for a tablet that won’t last.
You are 110% right about the Nabi tablets. I will NEVER buy another. I’ve had to replace the charging cord 7 times and the tablet itself 3 times. Luckily it was still under warranty. My son loves ninjago! But i might just get the kindle. The expansion only goes up to 32 vs the kindle which has 256

The price must be a glitch, as they are offering buy one, get one half off on their site. When u place two in the cart at $49.99 a piece, the cart doesn’t calculate half off the second one. I bought this tablet at best buy 2 years ago for my toddler. No issues with it since then. Now that he’s getting older he’s really starting to enjoy all the learning games on Samsung kids. And yes it keeps kids locked in Samsung kids and all their safe apps so no getting to an area where there’s ads or they can download anything but kids apps. But as a parent you can get out of there and use it as a regular tablet for you tube, email, internet searches. The only downfall is its internal memory is small and it can only be expanded with an sd card of 32 gb. But at this price you can’t beat it. I paid 80 and was happy with it at that price point. It only came with a plain green cover but I highly recommend going to Amazon and finding the poetic green or different color if you choose for this tablet. Best investment especially for a little toddler as he’s dropped it and thrown it and it really protects it and gives a good protection for the screen as it gives space between screen and if it’s set down on table or floor of its thrown.

I still haven’t gotten a shipment notification. I got the 49.99 price, paid with PayPal, got the order receipt and order confirmation. I even emailed them on Saturday and they said everything I already knew…did anyone get a shipping notification???
Same here. I e-mailed them last week and they said my order was confirmed. I just e-mailed again and asked if my order would ship before Christmas. I think it’s strange they haven’t either shipped the tablet or canceled the order by now. Especially because they are in stock on their website still so you know they have them. I’m hoping they ship soon!
We still haven’t received a shipping notification either. If they didn’t want to give them at the $49.99 price, fine but charging our PayPal accounts already and poor communication, isn’t ok. If they had cancelled, I would have taken advantage of the $69.99 Kindle deal. 😕

Because my order didn’t ship yet either, I contacted Samsung and they said that the ability to order one at that price was a glitch and they are holding those orders until they figure out if they will fulfill them or refund everyone’s money and cancel the orders. I paid via PayPal, so the money has already been been applied as well. I’m kind of in limbo because it doesn’t seem as though we will be getting these in time for Christmas.

I have the same problem … i ordered at the 49.99 price and haven’t received anything. I also emailed asking about this and got an email back that they were transferring it to a higher department.
Just received an email from Samsung about the order I placed on the 17th. It states “We are writing regarding the status of an order you recently placed on the Samsung.com/US website. Unfortunately, due to a pricing error that was present on our website when you placed your order, we are unable to accept the order that you placed.
I got the same email today. I can’t believe they are cancelling these orders nearly a month after they were confirmed! And nearly a month after I paid via PayPal! Not to mention a week and a half before Christmas. So disappointed in them, and letting them know it.
I received a cancellation email as well. I had contacted customer service in the beginning of the month and they mentioned nothing about not honoring the price and just said the order was awaitin shipping. this is ridiculous given the time delay and proximity to christmas. I plan to contact customer service as well
I received the same email yesterday and called CSR for the 3rd time since placing this order because I too was never told anything about a pricing error. I found out from the CSR supervisor that they sent one tablet to everyone who placed the order on the second deal for buy one @ $89.99 get one free and sent with it a letter of good faith saying you will receive the free one when they are off backorder. I have now contacted a law firm to see if a class action suit can be filed, because although they cancelled our orders in that email they are holding our money to the 17th and then starting the return process then.
called customer service again. they said they cancelled my order but gave me a $10 credit to spend on a future order. they said the order was cancelled because the shipment they are expecting only has so many tablets and those that didn’t make their cutoff got their orders cancelled.
