I think there’s a .50 off coupon in the app.

    • Kimberly (Stylish Sidekick)

There sure is! Thanks for the heads up! I just added it to the post.

      • KELLY

How do I get the $3 off coupon?

        • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Kelly! Be sure to head to the big red machine in store where you can scan your store card to get coupons such as the $3 coupon mentioned above! Hope that helps!

I did this deal and I don’t know why but the CVS $3 coupon was adjusted to $2.17. I bought other items so it wasn’t because the total was less than $3. Did anyone else have this issue or understand why this happened?

    • Kelly

Yes, this happened to me too. It adjusted it down from $3 to $2.29 for some reason and I didn’t notice it until I got home. I too had bought a bunch of stuff, so not sure why it did it.

    • hrosana

Same thing happened to me it only took 1.67 but the manager took the 3.00 manually, she had no idea why

    • jenny

same here. did not take off $3. didn’t know until I got home.

    • Judy

It happened to me, too. Thankfully, I noticed it before leaving the store, and the associate was kind enough to print out a $1 Extra Buck to (over) compensate me for the 62 cents I’d been overcharged.

Yes, I had the same issue with cvs card #1 (was buying about 4 items). Did the deal again in a different store with cvs card #2 and had no issues (bought 2 items). I think read on a site (maybe this one..different post) to keep the transaction simple while doing this deal. Not sure why?

    • mouni

Why do you have 2 cards?!

  4. Nel

My was adjusted to $2:10, my whole transaction was a mess, all the sales item I was charged regular price, noticed when I got home, a return is in the future, never rush when shopping.

I didn’t even get the coupon! Not from the app or the coupon machine. Good thing I have enough toothpaste to last me a lifetime! This happens a lot. I’ve even tried different stores and same result. I don’t think cvs likes me, with all the deals posted here I really only spend money on tax!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Darn! Sorry to hear you couldn’t snag the coupon!

  6. Paul

Mine adjusted down to $2.59. No idea why. Detroit area.

For everyone that has had this coupon ring up a different amount… CVS registers have been reprogrammed to prorate items based on the ECB’s you use. Order doesn’t matter, the system will do it while everything is ‘pending’. It’s hard to catch when you have a large order and most cashiers fly through the screen so fast, they don’t catch it either. I highly suggest calling CS to voice your displeasure. There is absolutely no reason a $3 coupon from the coupon center should be adj down just b/c you’re paying with ECB’s. I’d also tell them that the state attorney general’s office will also get this complaint b/c what they’re doing is totally unethical. In the meantime, I have been buying the weekly coupon items by themselves, and that seems to keep the coupon from adjusting down to weird amounts.

    • Cheryl

Thanks for your feedback. I know cvs does this with the % off coupons. So if my order is $20 but I use $10 ECB the cvs 20% coupon will only ring up $2 instead of $4 so I won’t use ECB with a % off coupon. I haven’t seen it happen with the $ off coupons but with this purchase I did pay with ECB so that makes sense. I did send an email to CVS but have not heard back.

I am so confused as to how you know how may prints you can print of a coupon. I will read you can [print 4 times, but how do you know that? I will even read it on coupons that come from coupons.com.
