   I’ve been waiting to grab these at this price. Just purchased 5 echo dots for family members (including one for my 9yr old as she loves our family one). They have an awesome deal right now where if you purchase an echo dot you can purchase a smart plug for just $5 (normally $29.99).

  I tried to cancel my order within 10 minutes, so I could reorder with the plugs, but I received an email that it could not be cancelled. I contacted amazon whose response was that it was because I live within 3 hours of an amazon facility and because I have prime my order was prioritized….really?!?! Within 10 minutes?!?! I’m sure someone wasn’t sitting there waiting on my order to print and ran straight to the shelf and placed in the shipping area. Let’s be real people! 🤷🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

  Then I asked if I could purchase the plugs and get a price adjustment….nope. They aren’t allowed to adjust the price. 🤯

  This is the second time I’ve contacted amazon and received ZERO help for things I feel like are absolutely doable! I feel like their customer service is slipping 😞. Or maybe I have unrealistic expectations of such a company that I use so frequently.

  How do you get the smart plug for 5? When I went to order 2 dots another screen popped up for a plug in at 29.99 and asking me about a free music trial. Any help would be greatly apprecaited….

  We cut the cord 4 years ago. I must say between Netflix, Hulu, amazon prime and Pureflix I haven’t missed Directtv (or the bill!!) at all!!! We pay around 35ish for all (not including prime since tv isn’t the primary reason we have prime)

  You may not. It’s just a mini version. Meant for smart home use really, or ordering items, not a good speaker on it.

  Plug it into the wall socket then plug in any device tv lamp etc. you can ask the dot/alexa to turn it on/off
