TooFaced left a bad taste in my mouth, I ordered last time and plenty of orders were cancelled. Mine still hasn’t gone through, I emailed 4x’s now and they just say a glitch happened and will be fixed shortly. If I am not wrong it is already two weeks, I asked them to cancel it on my last email and they are still holding my money through Paypal :/
So just a heads up, or maybe I will find other people with same issue and not feel so discouraged.

    • Kimberly (Stylish Sidekick)

Oh no! So sorry to hear that happened, Judy!

    • nem3

Never received mine either at least it was onky 3.25

Are you talking about the too faced order for gift wrap ($3) with a free sample of the mascara, bronzer, or primer? I was wondering what happened with that, I never received the order or an email saying it’s been shipped or canceled, and it’s been over 2 wks, but I’ve seen that the charge is still pending on my credit card.

    • Heather

I also never received my order from them. I know it wasn’t a huge amount of money, but some form of communication from them would be nice. I would usually jump on the mystery bag offer but am put off with this last experience

    • B

For everyone who did the $3 gift wrap “deal,” DO *NOT* do that. Their system will flag your order on suspicion that you are stealing samples (which you are) and then cancel your order and never process it without telling you. That’s what the ‘glitch’ is all about. I waited 11 days for it to ship before contacting them, and finally after 15 days, I get a non-apologetic reply saying that my order was never processed, with no offer to help place my order.

Bottom line: You should order a sufficient or normal amount of goods (probably should exceed the prices of the samples) or be warned this will happen.

      • 50shadesoflipstick

You keep posting the same comment repeatedly, even though it makes no sense. Exactly how is it “stealing” samples when you are paying for the gift wrap, and 2 samples come free with every order? The gift wrap was NOT listed as an exclusion to that promo, which isn’t new btw. If their system doesn’t want to allow it, then Too Faced can easily prevent the orders from going through and from being confirmed. They didn’t say “spend $X, get 2 free samples”, FYI.

        • B

And they did prevent the orders from going through and being confirmed. That’s why they canceled everyone’s orders. They’re just bad about communicating to their customers so I am providing an explanation for everyone in case they try to do this $3 deal again. I got an email from their system saying they flagged my order and that’s why it never went through.

          • 50shadesoflipstick

Did you not receive an order confirmation? That is what it meant by the order being confirmed…processed is a different issue. But either way, while it’s unfortunate that it didn’t work out for you and some others here, the point is that many others had their gift wrap orders ship already. So the glitch wasn’t due to what you think it is…and just an error, which is what Too Faced is saying. Otherwise, did they let some customers “steal” and not let others do that? That makes no sense.

    What is normally in these

    • pilly

Last year it was pretty much just things in their clearance section. It had Bulletproof 24 Hour Liner in Ohh & Ahh, Melted Liquified Longwear Lipstick in Liquid Frosting, Better Than Sex Mascara Travel-Sized in Purple, Glitter Glue, and Cat Eyes Eye Shadow Palette. It was a miss for me and I ended up passing everything on to family/friends except the purple mascara. I’d check out their clearance section and if you like what you see, place an order. Don’t hold your breath for any newly released products though.

      • Emily

        Thanks for the info!

Same thing happened to me they still have it as pending on my PayPal. And it was ordered on the 10th. I’ve emailed them several times and got nothing back. I love their stuff but l’ll just stick with buying it from sephora or ulta next time.

I also called and was told about a glitch which I have no reason to doubt. I got a shipping confirmation last Wednesday and expect delivery by Thursday.

  6. Bologna

The Balm Cosmetics has 50% off today too $5 shipping

  7. Heather

Terrible customer service. They won’t reply to your e-mails. Too much of a haste to deal with.

    • Heather

      *hastle

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Darn! Sorry to hear their customer service has not been helpful. Thanks for the honest feedback Heather!

    • B

Call them. They have someone who answers the phone (pretty quickly). I don’t know if they’ll be more effective though.

  8. Janet

I contacted them a few times and finally on Wednesday I got a shipping confirmation and should be receiving it by Thursday.

    • Dee

Is this for the wrapping paper and samples? I also ordered some on the 10th and nothing.

      • B

Dee and everyone else who did the $3 deal: DO *NOT* do this. Their system will flag your order on suspicion that you are stealing samples (which you are) and then cancel your order and never process it without telling you.

  9. Hillary

these totals are not right above…

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing Hillary! Looks like some of the prices have gone up just a bit. Updating now!

    • Dee

Don’t do what? Call them? Trust me I won’t order again but not sure what to do about it now.

  10. Katie

this happened last year too, when they released their peach palette. I placed 2 huge orders and with their promise that they would arrive by christmas, mine didn’t. they sent out a coupon via email to make up for it….then didn’t honor the coupon. my daughter loves their makeup, but i will only get it through sephora now. i will never order directly from too faced again.

  11. Kim

I always order these but this year I am passing. I don’t think it will have anything good by looking at the clearance.

  12. Melodiemomma

My $3 orders have been shipped. No problems here. I love two faced! Hanks for posting these deals HIP2SAVE!

  13. Suz A.

How are the original prices SALE prices? It’s 50% off Regular prices. Nothing is on sale. Please let me know if I’m wrong and I missed something.

  14. Sarah

    ***Do not purchase from TooFaced***

First let me start off by saying I easily spend hundreds of dollars on makeup a year. That being said, I recently tried to take advantage of the gift wrap deal, because hey, who doesn’t like good deals? I received order CONFIRMATIONS for my orders, however I never received any shipping info. I waited two weeks and nothing ever came nor did I hear a peep from TF. I emailed them and their customer service said that there was a “glitch” in the system and my items would be shipped soon. I waited about another week and again, nothing (nor did I receive any shipping confirmations). I emailed them again, waited two days, and surprise–no response. I figured I would have better luck if I called them directly, which I did this morning. After waiting on hold 30 MINUTES I finally got through. TF “Sorry there was a glitch in the system, your order has been cancelled and you should receive your refund by early next week.” Me: “But I would still like the items, can you just reprocess it?” TF: “No, we can’t do that” (they claim the items are out of stock; they said I can reorder the wrap online, minus the free samples). Me: “Well hopefully you understand my frustration; I ordered these items almost a month ago, heard nothing from your company, had to contact you on my own initiative, then find out my order has been cancelled? Can you at least meet me halfway? Maybe rather than sending my multiple samples, you can send me one full size item?” TF: “Let me put you on hold….*five minutes later*… Sorry we can’t do that.” Me: “Okay, but know that I will NEVER shop with your company again and I will be telling my makeup blog friends about this.” *End call*. Now someone reading this may be thinking, “that seems a little dramatic.” It’s not, and here’s why:
    1. Don’t offer something on your website for a certain price/deal if you can’t afford to sell it that way. Can’t afford to ship a $3.00 dollar wrapping paper and two samples? Then don’t offer it. Pretty simple right? And don’t blame a non-existent glitch on a pricing oversight. If you mis-marked something, the customer should not be penalized for purchasing it. It’s the company’s responsibility to absorb that cost, not the consumers’. And to the person (B) who says we were stealing samples, here’s a fun fact: if you buy something, it is not stealing. So next time you go shopping and you see a “buy one get one free” offer, don’t rush to call 911 to catch all those thieving costumers. The “freebie” is not truly free because you have already purchased another item, thereby offsetting the cost which the company should have already factored in (if they own a calculator and/or possess rudimentary math skills–I’m beginning to think TooFaced has neither).
    2. If you do realize there is an error and there is NO POSSIBLE WAY you can fulfill the order, contact the customer right away to inform them of the error, issue an apology and a refund immediately. Something like, “we are very sorry this has happened, here’s a code for 25% percent off your next order and please know that we truly appreciate your business.” Don’t hold on to the customer’s money for almost a month (still waiting on that refund by the way), wait for the customer to contact you, and then when the heavens open and they are finally able to speak to a human customer service rep, tell them that the order has been cancelled. Then make absolutely no effort to offer any coupons, free items, etc. Really classy Too Faced. You sure know how to keep your customers.
    3. Did you know that TooFaced has an “F” rating on the Better Business Bureau website? I did’t until today and I must say I am surprised they got as high as an F. They have terrible customer service, shady business dealings, and they simply do not understand what it means to keep a consumer happy. I have made it my personal goal (early New Year’s resolution?) to warn everyone I know about this company; three cheers for social media.

So, now that you have heard my tales of woe, I hope you will think twice before giving them any of your business. Hip2Savers, I love and appreciate all the work you do, and I would ask that you consider not posting any deals from TooFaced. I imagine that you probably get a kickback of sorts, but is it worth sending your readers to a shady, F-rated business? I hope not.

    Sincerely,

    Ex Too Faced shopper
