But the reviews are terrible. How are these silly things this popular? I played with one at Walmart, when they had the toy day, and my 7 year old daughter and I were very unimpressed. She got the Hatchimals for her birthday a few weeks ago for her birthday (thanks for the deal Collin!) and they sit in her room untouched. I seriously couldn’t believe how lame they are. I want my furby back, lol!

Does anyone know how to tell if these are legit? I just got one last Friday when the deals kept popping up. The order arrived with one that seems legit. So many reviews say they are receiving knock offs from China that are poorly made and not the real fingerling. I noticed that the one I just ordered a few minutes ago shows an MSRP of $14.99, but that’s supposedly the sale price for today. I’m wondering if this one will be a knock off because of the retail price listed. Any thoughts? If I get two day shipping, I don’t know how it’d be one coming from China though. It’s sad that people are getting ripped off with fake advertising. It’s so confusing how people can order from the same link, and some get a knock off while others get the real product.
$14.99 is the reg. price. Not an extra discount today just the fact they are in stock is why it is a deal. If the package you have says Fingerling and WowWee company you should be good. Also if it shipped from Amazon and not another seller you should be good. AS far as the terrible reviews about peeling paint I am not sure. We’ll see when my daughter opens hers if it does it. If so WowWee may have a situation like Hatchimal did last year when everyone complained that there’s didn’t hatch correctly. At least this costs ways less;)
Ok. When I googled it, I saw some Amazon prices around $40. It must have been 3rd party sellers. So I thought the $14.99 was a really good deal. I see what’s going on now… These things fly off the shelf.
These are made in China but the UPC code has a country code. If it has a 71 as the first 2 numbers it probably came from Canada/US making it legit. There is a Montreal Canada and Hong Kong distribution address listed on the box.

How did this toy get so stinking popular?? …I can’t find it anywhere…and when I do, it’s over $50! I saw a listing for $170, this is insane….never did I think I’d go through this over a silly toy…and so many more years to come, ugh 🙁
