Just an fyi for the Walgreens books. I ordered a bunch of books a few years ago. The books were printed poorly (had black smudges on every page) and the pages fall out. When I talked to Walgreens, they said to bring the books back to get the pages re-glued in. I did this 3 times and the pages still fall out.

    • laureen

So many people in the labs do the books wrong. It’s heated and the glue in the spine melts to hold the pages. They must have not pushed it in all the way and cooled correctly. Unfortunately when books comes back to me wrong i have to remake them so the pages stay depending on how long it has been.

I️ don’t think Walgreens quality on books is as good as some other places. That being said, 75% off is a really great deal! I️ do think it matters which Walgreens you use. Some are better than others. I️ bypass the closest one to me for one father away because I️ get better results. Also some people are unhappy with photo quality because they haven’t edited the photos before uploading.

Oh bummer! Sorry to hear they did not turn out well 🙁 Thanks for sharing your experience!

I did the 1¢ prints last week and was very disappointed… they didn’t bother to cut down the prints (mine were mobile so that odd 5.3”?) AND they didn’t print my horizontal ones correctly! They’re tiny, across a vertical paper. So disappointed with my local Walgreens…. I’ve never had that kind of poor experience with them before.

    • Sunny

All my pictures from my dslr came out fine. My iPhone pictures looked alright. I haven’t noticed any parts cutting off. It could depend on your local store I think? However, quality is not so good. I feel that all the pictures from Walgreens come out with too yellow-greenish tint for my taste. I use sam’s club or mpix (if I want to spend more $) for pictures that from special occasions and I use Walgreens for giving out prints to family members or card whenever they have good deals.

    • laureen

      Allison,
There must have been new or didn’t know to cut the pictures. Also. Review your pictures for cropping before you submit. Walgreens photo labs cannot change the size of a picture or fix cropped pictures sent from the app.

    • jessich

I was disappointed as well. The quality was bad and my 4×5.3 was printed on a 4×6 sheets with a wide border of white spaces on one side.

      • laureen

Thr white border means they didn’t cut it. There are a couple of different printer systems that vary by store. I prefer printing books at another store a few miles away vs. My own store.

    • Betty J

There are 3 Walgreens on my way from home to work, and I noticed that the one photo lab does a much better job than the other two locations.

      • riss

I agree. I compared the quality between 2 Walgreens near me and one has been consistently great. It’s all in the photo tech, I guess.

    • Lexy

Thats maybe your fault before ordering you have the option to “PREVIEW” your photo that’s when you should look and see if its the right size and what not. Takes some time but worth it.

    • Linda

When pictures are uploaded by a customer using mobile or on line Walgreens has no way to edit them. If you use the kiosk in store the lab tech can often edit them.

  4. Alison

    Thanks for the feedback, Kristin!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re welcome Alison!

  5. Kiera Monroe

I have 25 off Shutterfly from Shopyourway and free shipping from Kellogg’s. I am looking for two free shipping codes from another company to trade. Please email me at lovecouponing at aol.
    Thanks.

  7. cncndreamz

I ordered the books last week and had to take 2 of them back. Pictures were upside down and on 2 of them the binding was on the opposite side.

  8. Holly

I have lots of books from Walgreens and have no issues with any pages falling out or discoloration! Perfect timing for Christmas gifts! Especially for the price! I made a bunch of photo books and stored them waiting for a great deal! 👍

    • Stephanie

Oh! That’s a good idea! I make annual books for the kiddos – they are not heirloom quality but I let the kids look threw them, if something happens, not the end of the world!

  9. mrsphb

always looks good and professional looking when I get mine

  10. Sondra

Here is a $20 off cards code for Paper Culture if anyone is interested. It expires on 12/12.
    LEFYTW6B7

  11. LK

I have ordered several of these within the last year and have been happy with the quality – getting ready to order a couple of more 🙂 I like to make one for each of our daughters, from vacations or day trips we have taken throughout the year.

  12. AOhio

Uh oh, it sounds like it’s hit or miss, maybe get the book done for Christmas now just in case there are issues.

  13. Mandy

I have 2 ($25) Shutterfly shopping codes and 1 ($20) code. Looking to trade for an amazon, Walmart, or other retail type gift card.

  14. jade

    Thank you!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re welcome Jade!

  15. Mp

I’ve had very disappointing quality each time. I printed professional pictures I got from school at Walgreens recently and they turned out horrible!

    • Mp

I purchased digital images from school so quality & resolution should have been printed the same as school printed pics. Definitely won’t develop anything at my Walgreens. Wasted too much money there.

  16. Sarah Hartman

Can you do this more than once and if so, is there a limit?

  17. Sarah Hartman

Lol… never mind… I just read the whole thing up top.

  18. Amie

    Thanks

  19. Traci
