I think someone in a previous posting of this (check the last few days on the 12/3 Target GC on H2S) said yes, you could do this, but it had to be in store only. I like the idea of using my previous Target GCs to buy these new ones. Lots of good ideas here! Would love to have people comment tomorrow morning if they tried these ideas to confirm they work.

Yes. Last year we bought the target gift cards on sale and then used them to buy Disney gift cards in store.
Unfortunately, you can no longer buy Disney gift cards with a target gift card. They just changed this 😔

I stand corrected! I just got off the phone with target, they said yes in store but not online. Though some stores may deny it because they think it is fraud, if they happen to tell you this, the cs rep told me to ask for management and have them call them.
I contacted customer service and asked them this and they said yes. Thank you for calling and checking.
Dev we just used all of them the last 3 days to pay for Very Merry Christmas Party, Candlelight Processional Pkg dinner, food at booths in Epcot, etc. Even with the red card only 5% discount it helps on renewing passes, paying for DCL cruises (we’ve done 9 and saved hundreds!). 😃
I am going to target.com through topcashback at 2.25%. I’ll use my discover card to 5% cashback on the Target cards. Then I’ll use my husband’s discover card to buy another $300 worth. I’ll use the Target cards to buy Disneyland tickets when they have the southern California 3 day pass sale. If I’ve done my math right, after all of the deals, I will have $600 in gift cards for about $500! That’s a ticket to Disney right there!

But that 5% cash back w/ Discover is super sweet.
But keep in mind, if you buy g/c at the 10% discounted rate now, you can go through topcashback or other cashback sites for future purchases and use the discounted g/c as a means of payment — you should get cash back on those future purchases.
I’ve used Target gc to buy other gc. But i always buy something else with it (i.e. banana). Hth.

If you purchase online, last year Target did not send out the gift card delivery email until the following day.
I just purchased a gift card in store yesterday with all of my gift cards from deals. I think I had 10. So I know in store you can use gift cards to buy new gift cards. The reason I did this is because if they let you do this online I have it all on one card to purchase a new one because online you can online use 4 gift cards at a time. HTH

This might be a really dumb question depending on the answer. Can you charge Target gift cards to your Red Card AND get the 5% off?

You can buy using the RED credit card but you won’t get an additional 5% on top of the 10%. HTH.

Not a dumb question at all – the answer is no, unfortunately we won’t get an additional 5%.
You won’t get the additional 5% using your red card but if you buy with your Discover you’ll get an extra 5% cash back bonus.
You can also take all your gift cards to the customer service desk and they can combine them and put them all on one card.
It says that grift cards purchased tomorrow can’t be redeemed until Monday at 10am. How do they know? Are theses different then regular GCs? If I bought some in store tomorrow could I not use them online tomorrow?

I always use my Target gift cards to reload my gold card. Some Target Starbucks will tell you that you can’t reload a gift card with a gift card but this is not true. Also, I used the 30% off at my target to buy syrups tonight, and it worked just fine but 10% cartwheel did not work, so I guess syrup is not considered merchandise.

I work at target. The additional 5 will not come off and you can only buy $300 per person and a max of $5000 a day. The other thing is that we may run out of gift cards like the cute ones so I would order online if I were you: if you can. They will not be valid until the following day Monday Dec 4.

No…. Would advise against buying GC’s with GC’s. See last year’s fiasco as stated from another site here:

Any attempts to work around this last year resulted in people having the new gift card deactivated without the funds being placed on the original gift card (i.e. Target stole money from its customers). Target refused to refund customers and many had to go through the BBB to get their money back. Can you order physical gift cards on the website? I remember doing so a few years ago, but I don’t seem to see that option online anymore. I only see email gift cards.
It gives me the option to mail at checkout and you can search for different designs you want online.

It clearly states no on their polices online. However others have stated that they have been able to in the past if they have one at least one item aside from a gc to purchase.

It was a Black Friday deal. You get that coupon after spending a certain amount at target.
The 20% coupon does not work on gift cards.
