The best prices (and information) I found for smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are at: Smoke Alert https://www.smokealert.net/category-s/1849.htm (owned and operated by North Carolina firefighters). Shipping is free and very prompt. I’ve ordered twice from them.
Personal frugal note, I prefer to *not* purchase the “10-year” detectors (sealed battery compartment) because twice I’ve had those fail (by beeping in the middle of the night with the low battery alert). Instead I’ve purchased the detector that meets my needs and then buy a separate lithium battery that I install myself (which lasts *much* longer than alkaline).

Thanks so much for posting! I was looking for a good deal on these, since we need 6. We moved into an older home, and the smoke detectors are old (like, yellowed with age!), and there’s only 1 CO detector (and it’s 10+ years old). Time to replace on the cheap!!

You’re welcome Laurie! Happy you can score a deal on replacements!

Thanks for posting. I know that we just “fell behind” with the clocks, but I really should consider a new detector.

I changed my batteries today and noticed that the detector had expired. Perfect timing! Thanks!
