      You’re welcome!

  2. Debbie

debkay ….. you can split it up.. i got 2) $10 e-gift cards emailed to myself😂 and got the $5.00 bonus
then you can either print and gift them or keep for yourself!

    • Jill

Debbie… THANK YOU!! I needed a few more teacher gifts in $10 amounts. I probably wouldn’t have looked at this if you wouldn’t have mentioned that the $20 amount can be purchased in 2 cards.

    • debkay

      Thanks, that’s awesome🙂

    • debkay

Thanks! 🙂Do you know if I can buy them through the app?

    • T

It just dawned on me that maybe you could purchase 4 $5 dd cards as well🙂

      • julie

Yes! You can purchase 4 $5 gift cards

I’m thinking giving a gift card to one of my child’s teacher. Never done it before since this is the first time she has male teacher. Wondering what would be the price point? With tight budget, I don’t want to overspend. TIA for any opinions.

    • Lisa

It’s really not about the amount/gift… it is about the gesture. Sometimes a simple (free) handwritten note can mean more than any amount spent on a gift. You need to do/give what you are comfortable with giving. My 2 (or 3) cents. Good teachers are hard to find though!

    • Stefanie

What grade is your child in? I would say $5-$10 is more than fine and that $20 would be very generous for grade school.

Only option for shipping was FedEX 19.00….No way no standard shipping option

    • Debbie

CAROL MORRIS where are u located ???
I THink YOU MIGHT HAVE MADE A MISTAKE
i just checked and it is NOT showing that for me ….. it’s free standard shipping no charge!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hmm, I am still finding Free Standard Shipping as I click through. Are you able to try a different browser?

      • Jane

It’s showing the FedEx $19.00 shipping for me too. It won’t let me order unless I accept the shipping charge 🙁

        • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

So odd. Are you using a mobile device?

          • Jane

Nope, I’m on my laptop 🙂

      • Jane

Ok I found the problem. If you order ONE gift card then shipping is free, If you try to split the $20 into more than one card say, four $5 cards then you get charged shipping. If you want smaller denominations you’ll have to get eGift cards. 🙂

        • Musk

It charges you shipping if the quantity is 2 and you add it to the cart. Instead if you add two separate $10 cards with quantity as 1, then it still gives you free shipping. So add the first $10 Card, go back and add the second $10 Card to the cart. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks Hip2Save! And thanks to those who suggested buying several at smaller amounts! LOVE!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re welcome!

  6. Dee

Can you purchase in the app and still get the bonus $5?

  7. Danielle

How do you purchase multiple cards? Each individually or is there a way to add more than one gift card before checking out?

    • Kim

Go to the desktop version and you can add 2 cards to your cart!

  8. Debbie in PA

Thanks for posting! I was planning to get my college aged son a $20 DD card, so this was great! A $5 bonus for mom!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Perfect! You’re so welcome!

  9. karen

Not letting me purchase seperate 5.00 cards. Any tips

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Are you using a mobile device? Another reader suggested using a desktop to grab multiple cards. Hope that helps!

    • julie

It wouldn’t allow me to purchase multiple cards on my phone. I had to go to my desktop. Also, I ordered 4 $5 cards and got free shipping.

  10. H

I was on a desktop and shipping for more than 1 card was being charged. I only got free shipping with 1 card. I hope people were careful about this when buying multiple cards. It does not really point out well that you will be charged shipping for multiple cards.

    • Musk

It charges you shipping if the quantity is 2 and you add it to the cart. Instead if you add two separate $10 cards with quantity as 1, then it still gives you free shipping. So add the first $10 Card, go back and add the second $10 Card to the cart. I hope that makes sense.

  11. Jenna

Question: if you get a gc with $20 on it, could you then bring it in store and have it split on another card?

    • Gmama

I tried to do that last year with $ I had loaded to the app and they would not allow me to buy separate gift cards with a gift card.

  12. Sherilyn

I’m trying to order the actual gift cards….and I’m clicking on the Buy a DD Gift card section, but it won’t let me Add to Cart unless I fill in a recipient’s name. Then it tags my order as an eGift Card (when I hover over the order top right) – even though it says Free Standard Shipping.
How can I be sure I’m getting the actual DD cards? I’m confused. Anyone else have this problem?
Anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong. I’m on my laptop.

  13. Debbie

jenna , i believe they will allow you to covert e – gift cards to plastic BUT NOT SPLIT a $20 into 2- $10 or 4-$5 .
so just get 2-$10 ( or 4-$5) and bring EACH individual e-gift cards to store and convert them physical plastic cards.
