Does anyone has any recommendations on which would be best for my kindergartner??

    • Tiffany Mo

Just by reading the descriptions and also buying for my kindergartner, I’d say the set 1, beginning reader. The pre reading set is for parents to read to the kids that teaches things like shapes, patters, and sequence of events. The set 1 are books for them to actually learn to read.

    • Allie

I would start your kindergartner with Set 1, if he/she already has some pre reading skills (knows the sounds of each letter). I would also look into the kindergarten sight words box, not sure if that is on sale. I started my little guy (he’s in kindergarten now) last year with set 1, and he just finished set 4 last night, along with both sight word boxes (kindergarten and first grade sight word boxes) I think these books are AWESOME and have used them for both my kids (my daughter is in 1st grade) and they have really helped them learn to read. Highly recommend getting all the sets. Hope this helps!

      • Heather

Thanks so much for the feedback! I was able to snag the set 1 for my preschooler who is already understanding sounds

      • Lynsi

        Thanks Allie!!!

  3. Mama6

I ordered the First Books for my pre-k daughter. I thought this would be the best for her since it has three different levels within this set. Thank you 🙂

The Alphabet set is also on sale! Anyone recommend this set?

    • HaleyBoBailey

We have the alphabet set for my 3 year old and he loves it. His big sister gets the traditional Bob books, and he loves having some of his own! There isn’t a story to them, but it’s more exposure to the letters.

  7. Candace

Thank you for posting this! I bought 4. 🙂

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Super glad you could grab them! You’re most welcome! 😉

  8. angela

    best for 4 year olds?

  9. em

We love these books. We started them when my daughter was 4 and these were a great for beginning readers. They are small and very basic but she was so excited she read a book by herself! Simple and short stories.

  10. Jess

We used these when my daughter was 5-6, and we loved them! She’s 9 now and an avid reader.

  11. Crystal

Thank you ladies! My kiddos are in high school and we didn’t have these, but my aunt has a new foster child who needs reading remediation. I got 2 sets.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      How sweet! You’re very welcome!

  12. Tara

These books were amazing for my children when they were starting out….highly recommend them!!

  13. nana

Set 1. These are the best early readers books

  14. Christy

These prices are a steal! I’ve been watching these books for my five year-old daughter on Amazon, and I haven’t seen lower than $14 in the last month and a half. I grabbed set 1 and probably will regret not buying the other sets two (but there’s that little thing called a budget). 😉

  15. Ria

Great deal! I love Bob Books! My 4.5 yr old son was reading whole sentences in just two weeks.

    • Ria

The one I used was Stage 1: Starting To Read (Bob Books Sight Words for Kindergarten).
