Man it kills me everytime I see these on sale. Both of my older boys have it on their Chrismas list, but we already bought their big gifts months ago (it’s something they want but more importantly they need) & this cute little robot is way out of our toy price range this year 🙁 they told me that’s ok mom, we’ll just ask Santa for it (big 😢) so I had to find a really good excuse why Santa couldn’t bring them each one either.
I did suggest that they could pool the little bit of Christmas money they would get from their great grandpa & what was in their piggy banks & if I could find it on sale again after Christmas they would probably have enough money to buy 1 & share it, so they agreed to that. Crossing my fingers I’ll find a good deal like this on it after Christmas 🤞🏻

Brianne I was in the same boat, my son asked for this two years in a row now. I had already got their big gifts but decided he’s 11 and won’t be asking for toys much longer so decided to return the other big item and got this instead. I can always get him the other thing for next year. Hope I made the right decision and he’s happy in Xmas morning!

My little man really wants this but I already finished his shopping and even on sale the price tag is way to high! Does anyone have one is it worth the money?

    • Amy

I think it’s really neat. It’s worth it if your son will actually play with it. Got my son (9 yrs. old at the time) one last year for Christmas because it was the top item he wanted. He only played with it a handful of times.

Consider buying used on Ebay. I just sold my sons barely played with Cozmo for $80. It was pretty much brand new.

Does anyone know if this is the same price instore?

  5. Kimberly

Does the one at TRU come with the blocks? It doesn’t show on my phone. I can see the one on Amazon does. Would they take the 15% coupon from the toy book for this?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Yes! 🙂

;o( I bought this earlier this week for $170.99. Hope Amazon will credit me the difference.

This is the only thing my HUSBAND wanted for Christmas. And at this price i can (sort of) pull it off. Thank you so much! 😀

    • Karis

P.S. Regardless of which retailer you buy him from he still comes with the blocks right?

      • Amy

Yes, some of the games you play with him require the blocks.

        • Karis

          Thanks Amy! 🙂

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re very welcome Karis!

Bought one last Christmas for my daughter it is so cute bought another one today for my son went into Toys “R” Us and they price match for the black one and you can get the carrying case 50% off

That’s the best price I’ve seen for this. This is the top toy my son wanted but we got him the Wonderbot instead because it was the better deal at the time. I also feel the Wonderbot is a better fit for my 7 year old. Like others I hope I made the right decision :-/ He is not getting anything else from us since it was such a big ticket item.

We love Cozmo. He was a gift for my 8 year old last year at Christmas and he still plays with him. Cozmo isn’t a toy that he spends hours and hours playing at one time but it is a toy that he repeatedly goes back to. We get a lot of use out of Cozmo… not to mention, he’s insanely adorable! As my son would say, Cozmo is our pet robot. He is trainable, he recognizes you and greets you by name, he plays games and will even initiate them without prompting. He’s fun to watch when he throws a tantrum (if he loses a game) and he’s so cute when he gets out back on the charger because he closes his little digital eyes and snores. We absolutely love Cozmo

    • Melissa

How does he greet you by name? All the reviews and videos I looked at just say it makes sounds but doesn’t talk. I was on the fence with this one, my son wanted it and max robot. I decided on max since cozmo seems to be more IPad play time than interactive robot play time

      • Kathryn

The app is only used to unlock things to do with Cozmo. You start with one training activity… play with Cozmo/train him, and then it shows on the app that you can unlock the next thing. It kind of gives you directions. For example, to meet Cozmo, you click a button on the app, type in your name, and then look directly at Cosmos face. His face recognition will then scan your face and say your name to you. From that point on, when he recognizes you, he will come up to you, make a cute little noise, and then say your name without being prompted. You’ll train him to play games as well, and then you can just leave him to roam about and he will initiate those games. He is really fun. HTH

For me, it’s just too much money that they will only play with a handful of times.
