Does anyone know how this can be put up? Does it need screws? I’m renting a house but there is no peephole and i have been wanting this to avoid opening the door for strangers! Any help is appreciated!

    • Janis

      You have a door bell

  2. Glo

Good question Lauren! I would want to know the same thing. Thx!

  3. Janis

You wire it up where your doorbell is

    • TabithaRN

We have this and LOVE it! It has to be wired to your existing doorbell.

  4. Katrina

Thank you! The deal was sweet with the $40 off! It’s even sweeter with the $50 gift card! Another gift crossed off the list for my husband!

    • Angela (Super Saver Sidekick)

Awesome Katrina, I bought one too, such a sweet deal! Glad you were able to grab one!😊

  5. Mitch

It probably does come with screws but you could easily use some gorilla tape or other strong double sided tape instead. You might could use those picture hanging strips by 3m. However anything you use other than screws you run the risk of it Loosing grip and falling 😬

  6. kim

It is out of stock already 🙁

  7. Susana

You can still do in store pick up

  8. CarrieL

Thanks! Just did in store pick up option.

    • CarrieL

my order just got cancelled. boo!

  9. Sarah

Highly highly recommend this. One of the best purchases I have done.

  10. Irene

do you now if you have to have an existing doorbell to replace? Clueless and very curious lol

    • dd-amber

Ring 2 works with batteries or you can connect it directly to the wires of your old doorbell. You will need a good Wi-Fi signal to operate it properly.

    • TabithaRN

Yes, it has to be wired to your existing doorbell. We LOVE it!

    • Janet

No you do not need an existing doorbell. It can be wired to an exsisting one or it can be ran off the rechargeable battery alone which is how I’m using mine currently.

  11. Missy

Does it only activate when someone rings the doorbell? I was wondering if it would show if someone came and stole packages on your front porch?

    • Brandi

      I’m wondering the same thing

    • Garfield

It activates every time there is motion in front of your bell. You set zones. It can detect motion up to 30ft. For us that was too much because it was detecting the passing cars on the street and it was annoying to keep on getting alerts.

Keep in mind that you have to pay subscription in order to access recorded videos. It is $30 for one year or $3 a month.

      • Dragonfly121204

Glad you mentioned the subscription thing Garfield. Though it isn’t a huge amount, it would be an unexpected expense to have that added. With all the people hacking into things, I think I will pass.

Thank You! Got it with additional $10 gift card from the holiday booklet over the weekend. Paid $100.78

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Oh awesome! You’re welcome!

  13. Katrina

Bummed it won’t let me ship to store!

  14. elledee

FYI you do NOT have to use your existing doorbell, it has an internal battery that lasts approximately 6 months. Our existing doorbell has poor visibility due to a wall so we placed this on the front of our house. It’s wonderful!!

  15. Kim

Just a FYI the $20 off every $100 is an online only promo. It’s out of stock online so I ran to the store to get it. They weren’t going to give me the $40 off because it’s supposed to be online only. Unfortunately I had to argue with them that if it was available online I would’ve ordered it online, and that they should honor it without any problem. I finally got $40 in gift cards in addition to the $50 gift card.

    • Katrina

      Thanks I’ll try that!

    • Sam

Not sure that’s a helpful tip to encourage others to argue with store associates to get them to bend the rules on an online only coupon.

  16. maria

Target just took it off the website

    • K Crew

I am seeing it gone now too. Bummer. I’ve been wanting this. And what a great deal compared to normal price! [Note to self: check Hip2Save every single hour of the day!!!] ha ha ha!

    • Yess

I believe this is for the Ring 1 not. 2.

      • Katrina

Yep. That’s the Ring 1, not the Ring 2 linked in the post.

  17. Niki R

Thanks! I was able to get one earlier with store pick up. I had to go to a store I prefer not to go to because of the traffic I have to deal with to set there but it was worth the trip this time.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

You’re welcome! Happy you were able to score one!

  18. Michelle

For anyone who missed this, Costco also has a bundle Ring 2 doorbell, chime, and 1 year of cloud service for 189.99. Not as great of a deal as this, but this works as paying $132 for the doorbell if you were going to get the chime and cloud service anyway.
