This may be a silly question but, can these be used over a camp fire?

    • Bunny

Hi Jess, the description says “Pans are oven safe to 500°F.” A campfire is more than likely hotter than that so not sure this would work. Maybe call the manufacturer to be certain.

      • visitor3

No, enamel would chip off. Use plain black cast iron on a camp fire.

    • visitor3

Even LeCreuset advises max of medium setting on a gas cooktop.

  2. Breann

    Wow great prices!

  3. Melissa

You can’t use enameled cast iron over a camp fire. The non-enameled pans are fine for camp fire use.

  4. Katie

These are the best pans!!! I use them all the time and food never burns and nothing sticks! I highly recommend.

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

      So awesome to hear Katie!

Does anyone know if these can be used on a glass/flat stovetop? I’ve tried looking but am having no luck.

    • Megan

We use them on our glass stovetop everyday and haven’t had any problems!

    • Kamaya

They are totally fine to use. My husband has been using them daily for over a year now. He is a total Cast Iron fanatic; over 30 pieces and counting lol. He hates non stick pans! Will only use Cast Iron and Stainless Steel Cookware.

  6. Mamarenie

I love pans like these, and I use over 500 deg, no chipping or anything… but! I need bigger sizes any idea where I could go to buy them? I’m feeding 7, soon8 kiddos. My family has outgrown this size.

Does anyone know if these can be used on a glass top / smooth top stove? I’ve tried looking everywhere and can’t find the answer.

    • Dionne

Hi Valerie. I know you aren’t supposed to use cast iron on glass top stoves. It can make the stove top bust.

    • DD

I have a smooth glass top induction cooktop. Cast iron is a recommended material fir the induction to work, so yes it’s safe. You can scratch glass though, so be gentle.

Yes! Replacing my Martha Stewart one. I loved it but it sticks:-(. The older version had a better finish.

    • Jill Jenke

Elizabeth, a few years ago I bought a Martha Stewart dutch oven from Macy’s and it was recalled. You may want to double check that just in case. I got a full refund and I had it for about a year when the recall happened.

      • Elizabeth M

Hi! I did replace mine when they did the recall. Mine had not chipped but I have littles so I figured better safe than sorry. For some reason, food sticks on the new one. I never had that issue with the recalled one.

Totally off topic I know but does anyone happen to have a free shipping code for shutterfly? If you won’t be using it I would love to. My email address is sthackrah22@yahoo.com. Thank you!

  10. Gailk

I bought these the last time they were on sale, they are awesome, nothing sticks, my favorite new pans.

    • Cassandra (Hip2Save Sidekick)

So glad you’re enjoying this cookware, Gailk! Thanks for the feedback.

  11. MarMar

What can I make in this? Any ideas?

    • Elizabeth M.

Soups, stews, chili, pot roast (omg so good), jambalaya, roasted chicken…

  12. Sara

I saw these exact ones at TJ Max last night. The pan was $29.99!

    • Kamaya

Excellent price. I’ll have to check them out and see what other deals I can find.

  13. Martha

Am I the only one that thinks this price is outrageous? A Lodge brand cast iron skillet or any of their products are normally priced around these supposedly sale prices, if not cheaper. I mean 250.00 for a cast iron fry skillet? Why are these so high? Thanks

  14. Nel

Looks like the 7 qt. casserole is sold out.

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks, I updated the post!

  15. Kavita Naik

7 qt is back, 11 qt gone

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing! It appears they are all gone now 🙁 DARN!
