This works okay for mild eczema patches and as an all over body lotion but it wasn’t near as strong enough to help with more severe flare ups. Thicker balms and creams work better and I used them in conjunction with wet wrap therapy on both my children.

      What is wet wrap therapy?

Go to national Jewish health website. I think they have a video on how to do it. Or nationaleczema.org

There are different adaptations but basically you wet the area during your bath. Then while the skin is still damp moisturize with a thick cream. And then cover with the wet layer which helps your skin really absorb the moisture. Then to keep your kid warm layer with a thicker outer layer. For my son we used two layers of baby leggings for flare ups on his arms and legs. Then loose clothing on top.

My daughter has had some of the worst eczema her Dr. has seen, she’s 15 and has had since a few months old. Wet therapy is the number one thing we’ve ever done!!!!! Right after a bath she’ll glob her lotion or Vaseline, whichever she’s using at the time, and put on long johns, a long sleeve top and pants and socks on feet and hands soaked in warm water, and cover with layers of sweats until she’s warm. In the morning she’s like a new person. When she was real young she’d actually ask if she could do wet pajama that night if her skin was starting to act up.
