I know for my husband’s family in the UK – it pays to shop their local Amazon website….Amazon.co.uk so that the power adapter is the correct one for their country.
Otherwise, it should work just fine with a power adapter that converts from US Power to Australian Power standards.

Great deal just wished they had deals like this (this crazy cheap) for iPads.
I don’t have much experience with apps (other than couponing/rebate ones lol) I bought my 3 & 4 year old girls an amazon fire tablet for our long roadtrip. It looks like the only apps we can get are via amazon not apple/google? Can anyone recommend some kids ones that are free/cheap and actually decent to use. Also, can they be used in the car without wifi if already downloaded?
Hi Djaa- I just bought one of these for Xmas. What I did to get the Google Play Store is check out the article on the “How to Geek” website called “How to Install Google Play Store on Amazon Fire Tablet” See if it is what you want to do to gain more apps for the Kindle.
