I loved mine for my son! He wouldn’t sleep in his crib or anywhere but this for several months after he was born! We took it everywhere with us! I so wish mine had auto rock because I can’t tell you how many times my husband and I took turns rocking our son to sleep in this lol!! The vibrating feature was amazing!! My nephew (almost 4 now), would only sleep in one of these also when he was a newborn!!

Aww, how sweet! Happy they found such comfort in this sleeper! Thanks for sharing your experience!

My niece used this and she really liked it. It folds which makes it easy to take with you.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Awesome that is it so easy to take along! Thanks for the review!

Baby girl due 2/25 but now she’s coming 2/5 due to high blood pressure so we’re in crunch time. Thank you so much for posting this!!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

You are SO very welcome Michelle! 😉

My little one has bronchiolitis right now and doctor said to keep him elevated at all times. We use our rock and play pretty much every second of every day right now 🙏

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Hope he feels better soon!

    • Lori

My son had RSV and bronchiolitis when he was just a few months and just wanted to say hang in there, momma. I know how stressful it can be!

Is this different than the one that rocks itself?

  6. Dee

My son has reflux and this has been a life saver.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Good to know this has helped his reflux! Thanks for sharing Dee!

Has anyone come up with a way to add vibration to the older version without the vibration?

    • Diana

I️ have this and it works in the crib too. I️ like this vibrating mat because the vibration stays on. The rock and play shuts off after 30-45 min.

Definitely my #1 most used baby item for infants. This rocker is a must-have. But if you can afford to pay a little more the auto rocking one is better. It even has a Bluetooth feature so I can control it from my phone.

  9. Sarah

Yes, these are great! Every time I have intentions of baby sleeping in a crib or pack and play right off the bat so we don’t have to transition later, but every time desperation for sleep wins and this is the ticket for us. We’re using for baby #3 at the moment!

Based on personal experience I’d spend a bit more to get the auto rocking model. It was a lifesaver for us during the first few months.

  11. Beamergirl

The one that auto rocks is amazing ! Worth the extra money!!

My 3 week old hates to be put down, but he will chill in this long enough for me to get a quick shower!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Happy he will rest a bit in this sleeper for you! Thanks for the feedback!

These are great to help those little ones sleep especially with reflux but be careful mammas! These can cause plagiocephaly (flat spots) and technically they aren’t sids approved. Best for daytime use and if you are going to use a lot I suggest ordering a special pillow that will help with head positioning that will keep the pressure distributed well so those heads stay nice and round. I’m an OT and I see kiddos with flat heads from these all the time and just want to make sure everyone is aware and can protect those sweet little heads. Also make sure you get that tummy time in!

Can you send me a link or info on what type of pillow you recommend? Great tip! Jarah_c@hotmail.com

This caused my sons flat head.

I wish Mine had the auto rocking feature! My daughter hated the crib, this was a lifesaver especially for nursing late at night. Highly recommend!

These are great! Good price too. This is what I paid at a consignment store- used.
    Worth the money!!

I also loved our rock n play, wished I had one for all my kids. My 4th baby slept great in it. Got rid of it, but now I bought the auto rocking one a few months back for surprise baby #5 and it is even better! Great price!

  17. Emily

A lifesaver! My 2nd daughter used this and it was a lifesaver. She proved to be my most difficult child out of all 4.
No way we would have gotten sleep without this. I would recommend the one that has the autorocker. My husband and I had to take turns rocking her to sleep.

used one of these for both of my kids. it was one of the most amazing baby products we used! Loved it!

The Rock n Play was the best advice I ever got on here! When I was pregnant there was a post about the best items for baby and nearly everyone mentioned the rock n play. So I got one for my son, and he slept like a dream!! I had one like the one in the picture, he just loved the vibration of it, wasn’t crazy about the rocking motion so much. It was perfect, he slept in it for the first 7 or 8 months lol I was terrified of transitioning him to the crib since he slept 6-9 hours a night in the rock n play since birth. Plus he had acid reflux and they recommend angling the baby with the head up, I had to roll up a towel and stick it under one side of his crib mattress to tilt it. But best investment ever for baby!

I would wait and spend a little more for the auto rock feature. My 2 month old loves this but only for naps or while I shower or make dinner. She won’t spend time in it without it rocking so I would be lost without that feature. It’s not the magic sleep seat for us that it seems to be for others but it’s worth having just to give me a minute to do other things.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for the helpful advice Bridget! Good to know!

  21. Karen

This was a lifesaver for my 18 month old for the first few months (and I got a great deal from this site!). The combination of vibration and rocking always helped him relax and settle down. We just passed ours down to my sister in law and she’s loving it too!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

How sweet! Happy you could pass yours along! Thanks for the feedback Karen!

  22. Staci

Best seat ever! My son practically lived in this until 3 months! Great for naptime anywhere and so easy to fold and take with you! The number one baby item I recommend to any mom!

  23. Luna

This is the best gift I received for our baby. Helped us get through a lot of tough times with the baby having colic and reflux. Highly recommend!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks so much for your recommendation Luna!
