I’m hoping someone can help.. I’m looking for a handsoap that doesn’t dry out hands. As a sahm of a toddler, I’m constantly washing my hands and with winter, they are now cracked and bleeding 🙁 Looking for a moisturizing soap that could save my hands. Anyone have a good one? Thank you!

    • Jessica

My advice would be every time you wash your hands you should put cream on after. That’s what my skin doctor suggested and it saved my hands.

    • Kristin

Have you tried the mrs Meyers brand from this deal? Been using them since September and my hands have never been better. Stay away from Bath and Body Works!!!! They are horrible on our hands.

    • Bebe

I don’t know that you will find a soap that doesn’t dry out hands. My suggestion would be to use a hand lotion right after washing and drying hands. I really like the Mrs. Meyer’s brand, specifically the basil hand lotion. It smells so good!

Like a pp said, any soap will dry out your hands, but I feel like Mrs Meyers is better than most others. I have issues with my hands-eczema that pops upon the back of my hand -complete with cracking and stings something awful-as a sahm it’s not fun since I’m always washing something and getting my hands wet. I notice less of an issue with mrs. Meyers.

      • Amy

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I appreciate you all!
I have read good reviews on the working hands cream and will try that throughout the day. And thanks for suggesting this Mrs. Meyers handsoap. I will try it out! Fingers crossed 🙂

My hands were horrible for about 2 years straight. I love working hands. I put it on after I shower and especially before bed. If they are really bad, I put clean socks on my hands after the working hands while I sleep. I keep it in my purse, upstairs, and downstairs. It does tingle/burn a little if my hands are bad, so my children don’t really like it. A dermatologist also recommended a product called gloves in a bottle. I asked about it at Walgreens and they had no idea what I was talking about, but they have it online. I never tried it though, so I’m not sure how well it works.

Amy, My son had the same problem. I found out he doesn’t like drying his hands with a towel. He likes to let them air dry, which causes, or at least greatly contributes to the cracking and bleeding. If it’s not due to not air drying, coconut oil is a great moisturizer and it doesn’t have the chemicals that most lotions have.

Amy, Go get Nivea cream. I’ve used it for over 20 years & swear by it. From Bartending in college to working as a Veterinary Surgical Tech, I’m constantly aware of germs & washing my hands. Nivea even comes in a handy little round blue tin (99 cents at Wags or Walmart, in the lotion section). I keep one in my scrubs pocket at work, in my purse, etc. They’re so handy. It’s a very thick cream, but absorbs quickly & leaves no residue. A little bit goes a long way. My hands look great btw. Try it & you’ll never use anything else. HTH. 😉

$6.93 out the door. Thank you!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Woohoo! YW!

  8. Rose

Can I use this to make foaming soap, or is it too thick?

    • Samantha

That was my question too. I usually make our handsoaps to be foaming

  9. Samantha

Its only giving me the option for ad on item
