I’m new to couponing and don’t really get this savings. The way I see it, I still have to pay the full price of 11.97 but get 2 $5 giftcards after having paid the full price? So I can’t use the gift cards on this purchase then but in a future one?
I give target $12 and they give me $10 and six tubes of toothpaste. I think of the gift cards as cash because I go to target so frequently but if you’re not a big target shopper it may not be as good of a deal for you.
That is correct! You cannot apply the gift cards you are earning to this purchase. They can be used towards your next purchase. Hope that helps!
You are right your saving is in the 2 gift cards. You can use them on other items you want to purchase that day or save them for another day. Some people save them all year long and use them for Christmas shopping.
By reading the comments in H2S posts you can get a sense of which stores are easier to work with and those that are more difficult. Then you can decide which ones are worth you time. Good luck couponing.

I only see one $5 card for 3 toothpastes. What am I doing wrong?
We use the regular,original Colgate which is 3 tubes for $4.99. I ordered 3 bundles which qualified for the $5 gc. So, I’m getting 9 tubes for $10, which I still think is good deal.

Don’t get it, the gc Offer should still be good. Why is it not working? It’s showing one gc but not the other. Can they do that? Can they take one out even when it should apply to the offer?
I called customer service. The deal is still valid. There is a glitch in their system which is preventing that second gift card from being added to the cart. He processed my order and manually processed a second $5 electronic GC.
It’s not even an option on my end anymore.

I had to call customer service also and they required me to provide a screen shot showing that both gift cards qualified for the item. It was the item pictured with both promotions in red listed below. Thankfully I had it and they are processing the second gift card but maybe for some of you having trouble getting the second gift card you can try that way.
I just called them and they said that if I can provide a screenshot or an order with 2 gc offer they will give it to me.
I happened to see this deal right after it posted. I went straight to Target.com and ordered 3 bundles of the toothpaste with breath strips. The two giftcards showed up in my cart (I selected the eGift card option), got 5% off using my Red Card, and it was in-stock at my store. Going now to pick it up and get the Cerave lotion deal with those printed coupons. Thank u H2S! 🙂
