I love these candles , but the sents are not as strong as they used to be .

    • Kimberly Deady-Williams

I agree . Very minimal throw.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh bummer. Sorry to hear the scents seem weaker. Thanks for your honest feedback Keesh!

Try Simple Scents Candle Co. We offer a wide range of fragrances and hand pour candles to order. We use top quality oils and pour at a higher oil content than most candle makers.
Visit primitivemelts.com to view our wax melts and quality candles.

I was thinking the same thing the other day when I had a candle lit I use to walk in and could smell it right away now not even after being lit for awhile … Sad if you ask me even tho most of us only buy when they are cheap doesn’t mean they should make them cheaper bc alot of ppl pay the 24.50

    • Tanya Davis

That’s exactly right! I don’t know if you noticed or not but while I was in the store this season one of the candles had a stronger smell to it. In other words there were two versions of it. I can’t remember exactly what the wording on the outside of it was but that made me think that the stronger of the two was probably the intensity that they used to make all the candles. but unfortunately Not anymore

  5. Joy

I have been thinking the same thing -not near as much scent, but thought it was just me. Not nearly as enthused to buy anymore, even on sale! I too, am thinking about making my own. It doesn’t look too hard or too expensive!

There is only one candle sent left for $6.50, how did you get them for $5.00?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hmm, I still find the β€˜Tis the Season 3-Wick Candles for $6.25. You can grab the candles above for as low as $7.69 each when following the deal idea listed above. Hope that helps !

I thought something was happening to my sense of smell! I burn Lemoncello all the time, but want noticing the smell. Thanks for saying something. I just ordered 5 new ones and I’ll see if things are the same. I’ll probably end up making my own, too.

    • Tanya Davis

Oh my gosh the lemoncello is one of my fave and all I could find in stores around my area was the large handsoap and hand lotion. I was given a body lotion as well as body wash last year for a gift and fell in love. Haven’t seen a candle of that scent. Would love one of those but not if it doesn’t make my home smell like it like the candles have a rep for doing in the past. πŸ€—

This is actually a great deal for sure but as I’m seeing throughout this message board that most everyone is in agreement the sense or not as strong as they used to be. Bath & Body Works used to be known as “THE PLACE” to go to get the best smelling scents of the season or anytime for that matter. While in-store shopping this year before Christmas I noticed one of their candles had a version of it that was supposed to be stronger. I can’t remember the wording or word that they used after the name of the candle to let you know that it was more intense but it may have actually been the word intense LOL. But I as well as most I’m reading here agree that they are not as strong as they used to be and it’s a shame because if someone gives you a gift from Bath & Body Works then it has the reputation of being an awesome very nice gift of good quality for the price especially at the holidays. It seems that the price of things keeps going up but the quality does not follow. Just my ” two cents” πŸ˜‰
