    Can anyone tell me if this works if you just want to lose 10lbs? I’m already short and on the petite side but wanted to get back to my pre baby weight. Ty!

      It works for any amount of weight you need/want to lose. Just follow the program.

    I use an app call “lose it” to help me track what I eat and calories I burned, works for me, I’ve use it every time I decide to lose weight… I started again a week ago, and lost 6 pounds! 🙂

    I don’t want to take away from the WW post, but posting in case people don’t know about the MyFitnessPal app. It’s seriously awesome. I have done weight watchers in the past and it worked very well for me, but 3 kids later and I fell into some bad habits this last year (20 lbs. gained in 6 months), i have some work to do. MFP is free, and similar to WW in how you plug your food and exercise in, just uses calories instead pd points. Again, WW is awesome, just wanted to post in case people didn’t know.

      I lost 40 pounds on WW Smart Points from April 2017-beginning of December 2017. Then they changed the program to Freestyle and throughout the month of December, following that program exactly while continuing to weigh and measure and eat the proper portion sizes of the new zero point foods, I gained 2.8 pounds. I decided to double track with MyFitnessPal to see what my macros were and they were WAY off. So now I’m paying attention to the macros and not to the points and I have lost 4.2 pounds in the last week despite going over my WW points by quite a bit. I would say that WW works for some, but their lack of nutritional information makes me skeptical that it works in the long term. My husband has had similar results. YMMV, but just to balance out the comments, it should be known that it’s not all sunshine and roses nor a one size fits all program.

        I can agree with that. I’ve never tried WW but feel that weight loss is trial and error, unfortunately. Calories in/calories out just doesn’t work for me. I used MFP and started paying attention to my macros and finally started to lose weight consistently. You really do have to find what works for you. And if it’s not something you can keep up, it’s not going to even matter!

        I agree Ginger, my husband and I signed up together for the 6 month program, we are going to Cancun in 6 months, so, it worked out well for us to lose weight to be more confident when we are on the beach. I see a few areas of the freestyle program that I am a bit skeptical on, but, in going to the meetings, the point is not to just eat “diet food” and do a huge weight loss. It is a more change in perception and true long-term change in how you eat. They still want you to add sauce to your “zero points” chicken and shrimp, just in proportion. My husband and I were “in trouble” for eating too many zero point foods and not consuming enough points during the day.

        For me, I have never even tried to diet before, so, it is working well. I can see how for some it is not what they want or need. If you go to the website or do a bit of research, it will give you the basic details to see if it would work for you. I am down 7 lbs so far, and I have not even started to exercise yet, so I am looking forward to learning how to make healthy choices in eating and it is working well. It does not leave me hungry, I don’t feel like I am just eating veggies all day. I don’t have to measure or weigh. But, for whatever program you are doing, I wish you all the best. 🙂

      Yes, I use MyFitnessPal and like it much better than WW. I signed up like 2 weeks ago for WW after I saw it posted here, but I really felt deprived. It seems like it only wants you to eat chicken breast and vegetables. I get that you have to make changes, but not even being able to eat 1/2 cup of roasted sweet potatoes because it’s too many points? I’ve decided to stick with my Fitbit and MyFitnessPal.
