It seems to me there is just a lot of scrutiny around coupons these days. The last time I had a free Rimmell mascara coupon, It didn’t show a value at Walmart Self Checkout, the manager didn’t push it through because there was no $ figure. Target said they would do it just this once. So, just be aware YMMV in cases of free or overage.

I love money making coupons at Walmart!
Central Arkansas Walmarts are very careful with coupons. No overage at all not even a penny is accepted at the ones I have been to. They only allow one like coupon per purchase but they will let you pay for the others in separate transactions. I don’t shop Walmart because they are no longer coupon friendly.

At the Super Walmart here in Eagle Point , OR. They won’t accept any coupons that don’t go right through now. No Overages. They just had a meeting beginning of last week, reminding all the employees of their policy.. I have stopped doing about 75% of my shopping now. If they are not coupon friendly, then I will shop other stores..

My Walmart has limited one coupon per transaction as well. They are not coupon friendly so I am done with them as well. I can’t take the frustration. I am in Fort Lauderdale Florida.
Oh, I also ordered online once and put my daughter as the person to pick it up and I had a hard time picking it up even thought the order was made by me and I paid for it. Once you pick somebody to pick it up THEY have to pick it up I was told. Just a FYI

I went to Walmart and found a Rimmel mascara for $4 and the coupon worked fine. I also got four of the Colgate toothbrushes (i only found four so i got them) to do the ibotta rebate, all the items were free after the cash back.

My Walmart will not accept printed coupons in black and white you have to print them in color and they are still very leery on all of them.
Last time my Wal-Mart wouldn’t take the coupon. when they scanned the coupon it wouldn’t take $3 off. They said they can’t hand enter an amount or the manufacturer won’t give them the money.
Overage and free coupons NEVER work at the self checkouts, neither Target nor Walmart. And the cashiers will not give you overage, even though it’s their policy, so better to stand in line for a cashier.
Walmart CAN enter the amount, it just takes a manager to do it and they would rather tell you it can’t be done. They did it for me at self checkout for the free mascara.
I always do coupons with overage at self checkout at Walmart. I don’t get cash back though, usually just apply to other items I’m purchasing.

I had trouble at one that wouldn’t accept my coupons on card stock. I had forgotten to take it out of the printer while making cards. I still can’t find anything that says it needs to be thin paper :/ Unless I overlooked that somewhere… but CVS took the same coupons without issue.

I had issue with Walmart(Dallas TX) last time with valid coupon! At self checkout even though the scanner accepted the coupon the Walmart lady standing at the self checkout counter interrupted and said this coupon should not have been accepted by the scanner. She started shouting and harassing as if I am stealing some goods. It was really embarrassing. I then asked her to call manager who didn’t come for 15 mins. I waited in line instead and this time the cashier accepted the coupon and let me purchase the good. Seeing this the lady at self checkout again started harassing and said this coupon should not have worked. She latter went to the cashier and started arguing with her too.
So in short, even though Walmart is next door I have stopped shopping with coupons there. They don’t know how to treat customers.
