I like cooking bacon covered with paper towels in the microwave. However, the paper towel sticks everywhere when cooking this Hormel Black Label bacon. I have never had bacon stick to the paper towel as much as this one, and very difficult to remove the stuck on paper. I have tried cooking it for just a minute, and it still sticks all over. This is a great price and a great tasting bacon as long as you cook it in a pan.
Maybe some parchment paper instead? I know it won’t soak up the grease, but at least you won’t have to peal paper off your bacon. HTH 🙂
I second the parchment paper idea. The best bet for bacon, IMHO, I think that the reason your bacon is sticking may be that this bacon does not seem to have nearly as much fat content as many others. The fat makes it slide off the paper as opposed to sticking. Not impllying that you have fatty bacon, but I think there is a difference in the content as wel as the texture of different brands.
