I’ve never rented from Microsoft. Is xbox required? If not, how does it work on a PC? How long does the rental last? I didn’t see any details on the page explaining any of this. Thanks in advance for an experienced Microsoft movie viewer sharing their expertise!

Hi Josie! Here is what I found in the details on how long you will have the rental – “In most cases you will have 14 days to start watching the movie. And once you start watching, you will have a 24-hour window to finish watching the movie.” Hope that helps!

I’ve rented once before bc I used Bing rewards points (making it free). It didn’t work with the firestick or on a Mac laptop, had to watch it on our PC (after downloading something called Silverlight, I think). That was prob 6 months ago, not sure if they’ve updated as we haven’t rented from them again on account of the hassle/inconvenience.

Literally one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. No dialogue, no character development, barely any speaking.. super confusing and drones on and on and on. Half way through, hubby looked at me and just started laughing, “you hate this don’t you?” I wanted to scream; I had such high hopes since I heard good things about it and it won so many awards but no, just no. I wouldn’t even rent this again if it was free or I made money off of it.

I guess that’s why there’s such a diverse amount of movies and genres, something different for everyone. I found the movie as a drama to be excellent, well acted and portrayed for being based on the actual event. I hope you find a great movie to watch (Thor: Ragnarok maybe? Lol)

HA HA HA aren’t you funny?

I agree. No character development, no speaking, no clue what was going on. But clearly some people love it. I’m just glad I’m not the only one who thought that.

I was confused in the beginning until I realized there were flashbacks and the order of what occurring. I do appreciate the real story of feeling trapped and having the locals come rescue their own. I was actually pretty surprised with Harry Styles’ acting. Guess being a douche can be easy. =X

I’m agreeing with day to day. I thought it was very good as well. Some people just need constant, in your face, nonstop action to be entertained unfortunately. Slow moving? yes, but think of yourself being there and how long they had to suffer and wait just to get out of that hell-hole. I believe that’s what Christopher Nolan was trying to highlight, the waiting.

Great movie…moving, harrowing and…terrible? Considering the subject matter, maybe thats unavoidable. Its WW2 Brits trapped in a Nazi occupied France…so its not going to be upbeat/feely. I think Its about…the place, i.e. Dunkirk, which may explain… the title and less focus on characters all the diff story lines connected tangled in it. But just my 2 cents. Worth a one dollar gamble!!! Great deal!
