How does Makeena work?
Similar to other cash back apps, browse through the Makeena App or search for “organic,” “non-gmo,” etc., to see what offers are available. Click on items you’d like to unlock offers for, add them to your shopping list, and then go shopping at the store or buy online. Once you have the product in hand, at the store or at home, simply scan the barcode of the item(s) you are buying so Makeena can register the offer in its backend.
Then, once you are done shopping, just take a photo of your receipt and if the offer matches your receipt, the cash will be added to your account within 24-48 hours. When you are ready to cash out your account, the money will be transferred via your Paypal or Venmo account.
In addition to getting cash back on items, Makeena has a loyalty program where you can also accumulate points to redeem for more cash back! Further, there are opportunities to earn Makeena points for actions such as liking a brand on social media, or redeeming multiple offers from a brand. Karen, I used the app today to submit a receipt. I also just signed up and used the referral code in the post. However, even though I got an email that the receipt was successful, I didn’t get the bonus. Any idea why?

just an fyi, setting your birthday is a real PIA. should at least offer a drop down menu for the year or a way to type it in. Twice I hit ok by mistake, and had to start over. scrolling back to the 70’s isn’t fun!

Not to be Debbie Downer, but skeptical of this app. It is Shrink reincarnated, and I was never paid out from when they shut down, esp after rushing to make sure I had sufficient threshold to cash out. Ended up being money and effort wasted.

I just wanted to say that the $4 credit was in my account this morning after uploading my first receipt last night. Their customer service was super fast responding to an issue I had yesterday with a Lundberg product that wasn’t scanning. I was credited my rebate within a couple of hours.

Hi, Lacy, as long as you purchased a product associated with an offer, you can redeem after purchase at ANY store, even online! You just need to scan the UPC and take a snapshot of the receipt and we match it on the backend. If the receipt is valid, you will earn the $4 bonus. Allow us 48 hours for processing.
