I wanted to love this fryer but I hated it and ended up returning ours. When taking out the basket to shake the food or flip the food, the heat causes the plastic to expand making it impossible to put back in to finish the cooking cycle.
But the worst part was that our “safety” release button (without ever being touched!) dropped the bottom casing that holds the basket a couple different times, almost burning me and dropping the casing to the floor.
Maybe ours was faulty but I’ve read many similar reviews. Just a word of caution.

I would not recommend this air fryer.
We had to return this model a total of three times. The nonstick coating came off after a few uses on every unit we owned and the handle started to break too. Everything stuck eventually and no matter what we tried, food particles didn’t come off anymore. Very nasty.
Ended up buying Walmarts Black Friday air fryer and are very happy with it! Though smaller, it’s holding up great!

I have great experience with this fryer.
We use it very often. Whole chicken, chicken breast, steak, wings, zucchini, fries…name it. I also bought recipe book on Amazon thats full of great tips. It is written especially fir this particular fryer. In the book they recommend not to use cooking spray – something with the aerosol will cause your fryer coating to peel off. I saw some reviewers mentioning this. I use manual spray bottle, the one you fill up with the oil and have to manually build up the pressure in order to spray oil. I also found that when pulling out the basket to shake the food – in order to slide it back in you must slightly pull the handle down- it goes in smoothly! I used to think my fryer is faulty but it took a little but of learning curve. Now my cooking is stress free. At first I doubted my decision and was thinking to myself, man this might not be as good as I hoped for. I still do recommend this fryer.
