    Same as Costco’s everyday price

Thanks for sharing Kim! Did you find that in store? I don’t find that price from Costco online as I search through now.

I just wanted to say these are really great pencils. I’ve been going to school and have used these for lots of math homework and they stay sharp and write very nicely.

    • Karen

I agree! My son’s teacher specifically asked the students to get this brand. It saves the kids several trips to the pencil sharpener.

Good to know how well these pencils write Patty! Thanks for sharing! These have worked well for my kiddos as well!

If you have other things in your cart, the 24 pack is an even better deal (less than 8 cents a pencil).

I was at Costco this past week and they were on sale for $6.50 per box! I picked up 6 of them to have on hand for school supply time.

    • Sharol

Yes, I saw it a few weeks ago for $6.50 also!!! Last week, for some reason, it was back to regular price ($9.96) for our store. I should have bought some to donate to the classrooms.

Parent volunteer here. These pencils are awesome. I don’t even bother with the penny ones from OfficeMax because you literally waste half of the pencil trying to get a sharp point on it. We have even had the entire lead fall out of the pencil and leave just a wooden stick. That does not happen with these pencils. I know they seem a little more pricey but they are worth it. My kids actually bring pencils home at the end of the year now because these work so well and last a long time.

As a teacher, these are the only pencils I want. They sharpen well (not a lot of breaking) and don’t mess up my pencil sharpener like some pencils do. I get some anytime I see a good sale!

  7. MAB

Former home school instructor. These are the best pencils! Still my favorite as they write better and sharpen to a nice point.

  8. Shelly

My kids school specifically asks for this brand, I didn’t know Costco carries ‘em
Thank u for the info H2S readers 😍

  9. Heather

These are the only pencils we ever buy. A number of our kids’ teachers specifically requested them, and they sharpen so much better than the other kinds out there!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for the feedback Heather! I do agree, these sharpen SO easily!

I would jump on this because I love these pencils for my kids, but these are not sharpened. My kids have to have them all presharpened. So be aware of that. I stock up each back to school shopping time at Walgreens. I think they have them for $2/pk. And yes, my Costco has these for this price as well in store.

    • Jenna

Our teacher also asks the kids to have the sharpened ones, but these are nice to donate to the classroom throughout the school year or as a back to school gift.

This brand also has the best erasers too. I hate smooth erasers. If my finger can glide right over an eraser, I won’t use that pencil. The erasers on these pencils are just rough enough to actually erase something without leaving smudges.

  12. Melissa Rice

    These pencils are really great.
The worst pencils ever are the ones that I got for Halloween/ Easter on clearance from the Target Dollar spot.
Couldn’t use any of them, they break when you try to sharpen.

  13. Ann

Too many for me to use.
